  1. Carford garage, Bray St, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston, PR2 2RP 🙂
  2. Thanks for coming back Eccles, I've got it booked at a highly recommended VAG specialist in Preston who says it'll be between £300 and £350. Will report back after the work is done in a couple of weeks.
  3. Afternoon all, as title could someone please recommend garages in the Clitheroe area for cambelt change, minor service and mot on a 2017 Fabia SE 1.2
  4. Sorry for the late reply, test drive was great, Kamiq is a lovely car.
  5. Thanks for this thread people, I was just checking to see whether or not to get my wife's 2017 Fabia 1.2tsi belt changed at the March service and mot and, as it's low mileage and we're thinking of getting rid of it, once it has 12 months ticket on it, I'll not go to the expense.
  6. After 6 years away I'm considering returning to the fold with a Kamiq, wish me luck with my test drive next week
  7. Sorry, I missed your reply. All sorted, got a p21w LL and it fits fine.
  8. 2017 hatchback 90psi, one of the drl bulbs has gone. Research suggests it's a p21w long life that I need, just looking for confirmation please 👍
  9. Picked up a 2017 Fabia III SE 90 from them about 3 weeks ago for my wife. Dealt with Chris initially, trade in price was acceptable and got him to throw in a few bits and bats. On collecting the car I knew Chris wasn't going to be there but he'd left us in the capable hands of Dawn who was exemplary and a credit to Mitchell's. Many thanks guys
  10. Just noticed the rear wiper arm nut cover has been pinched ....... sorry, gone missing, off my wife's Fabia which she's only had 3 weeks Bar stewards!
  11. Delivered today and fitted this evening and the car looks better for having them on in my opinion (pictures to follow)
  12. Good shout duffer, thanks. Wish I'd tried them first, although they only have the rears but at 30% less than what I paid with postage they'd have had that bit of business. There's always next time
  13. Thanks guys. I went with the e-bay chap, great feedback and about 25% cheaper than dealer prices. Found he had some HB rears and I checked the codes with the Hortons shop.
  14. Hi folks, looking for recommendations for the best place to buy a full set of mud flaps for my wife's newly acquired 17 plate Mk III Fabia SE hatch? I was going to use superskoda until I read a raft of bad reviews on here. Thanks in advance
  15. Forgot to update: SWMBO got the car and is delighted with it. More importantly I'm delighted with it
  16. Poorboys wheel sealant for me, used it for years and just done the wife's 17 plate Fabia SE wheels with it the day after she picked it up from Mitchells. A proper decontaminate then 3 coats with half an hour between each will be good for at least 10000 miles from previous experience.
  17. Thanks, obviously I'll see when we go and look at it but good to know.
  18. Hello folks, looking at a March 17 plate Fabia SE 1.2TSi (90ps) for the Mrs, will this have stop start?
  19. Thanks, I'm looking at returning to Skoda and getting a Scout, I'm still undecided on colour though and these pics really help
  20. Thanks liveseytowers, good info from everyone, got to love this place
  21. Cheers Guys, Rick I was reading your thread when you got your 1.4, made for interesting reading. All the ones I've shortlisted are Spacebacks and, I've found a 1.6 CR DSG Elegance spaceback with the older stereo in (I really dislike the touch screen ones like I have in my CRV and had in my vRS). Thanks again, I'm sure I'll be back
  22. Hello all, after spending 4 years with my Octy vRS CR DSG I swapped to a Honda CRV and, 18 months down the line, I'm ready to get back to VAG. After looking at Fabia's and really struggling to find what I want, I've come across a couple of Rapid Spaceback SE 1.6 CR DSG's and a 1.4 TSi SE DSG. I love the torque of diesel and the more relaxed drive when on longer runs but, for my daily commute of 10 miles a petrol would be better although my Octy CR was always fine so ............... the age old question which is really down to personal choice at the end of the day, what differences would I see and what recommendations, advice etc does anyone have?
