Can u not read it using vag-com?

Hi i had my battery disconected today and now my stereo is saying "SAFE" on radio.....thought they were coded to the car? where can i get a code? its a mk1 octy vrs many thanks.

Apparently this wont fit the mk1 octy vrs i asked him and he said it wont,so can anyone advise? also i have a stage 1 remap so could i fit a fmic and not need to remap it again? cheers

Hi i just ordered a vag-tacho....i wanted to have a play and see what i could do on my mk1 octy vrs....answer not much.....its connects okay to ecu,it wont read pin,it wont code a new key,it wont change mileage...but it will clear codes...... great my vag-com lead does this...hence its going back for a refund pretty quick !!!

I just bought a vag-tacho,i can connect to my ecu,i can program new keys but i cant change mileage,or read pin? any ideas cheers

Just done it on my octy vrs....b@@@@@d of a job,hair dryer no good at all,just pull them off and tackle the left over sticky with white spirit and a cloth,and use you thumb nail to scrape it off after white spirit has soaked in a bit...good luck took me 3 hours to do both sides.
