Fuel Consumption on new VRS
OvineLover replied to SalimShady04's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Just topped up - 35mpg. Done around 500 miles since collection - driving reasonably sedately on my 20 mile commute during the week - with the odd blip on the throttle to remind me what's there! -
Post your Mk3 Octavia photos!

New car - 1.2 HTP 12V ! but a few questions....
OvineLover replied to vRSAnt's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Hi there. My father had a Fabia 1. I went to price remote locking for him. The fob was under a ton, the dealers said that labour would be astronomical as the electrics would need major work. Don't know if he was "fobbing" me off. -
The one I test drove was Race Blue only. Looked nice and low due to the suspension and wheels, I think the coloured roof can exagerate the squareness of the car. Considered Candy White, but the Octy is that colour - won't seem like a new car

Ordered mine yesterday, downsizing from the Octy, went for Rallye Green and anthracite wheels. Not sure about the black roof from the pictures I've seen.

Flat spot Fabia 1.2 HTP 6v

Update All sorted. Turned out to be a fractured wire in the engine bay loom. Hopefully a one off! Now it works the 60 horses seem to pull it along well -
My father's got an intermittent issue with his 09 plate Fabia - a purchase recommended by me (I am on my second Octy). Around 3000 rpm the revs seem to die/or remain static, especially when climbing hills of a certain gradient. Having driven it myself it is not the sensation of the small engine "running out of puff" but a definite fault. It is now on its fourth visit to the dealer, VAGCOM previously hinted that it may be the anti-knock sensor (this has been replaced), otherwise no error reports recorded. The mechs couldn't get the car to replicate the fault :thumbdwn: Has anyone experienced similar or got any ideas.
