From what I can remember when I sold my old turbo the fitting is different, so a turbo from an ASZ engine won't fit a BLT engine. Not sure about the actual turbo itself but if you are lookng to replace best go like for like to avaoid fitting issues.

As it seem P-Torque are getting a bit of stick I'll recomend them in an instant - Speak to Will and you'll get great service - very knowledgeable and eager to help - Had 3 remaps from him (including Hybrid on Fabia)and couldn't be happier Probably not as big as the others mentioned here, and as I've not used tham I wont compare, but don't write P-Torque off as they are deffinately specialists and not cowboys.

What did/would you get after the VRS?
max132 replied to John-'s topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Still have the Fabia (wife driving it now) but I changed for a BMW 335d M-Sport - cracking car and remapped runs at 340bhp and 500lb/ft - love both cars but BMW is more user friendly if not quite as economical. -
Wanting a Fabia Vrs Hybrid....
max132 replied to KrissTheMiller's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Pmd also. -
Totally agree. Will mapped my fabia twice. Second time with hybrid turbo and all the works. Great job. Taking my BMW 335d to him on Saturday for remap. Hope it's as good as I anticipate.

Hi Folks I have passed my cherished Fabia to the wife as I've just bought my first ever BMW. I don't think she will spend much time on here, though I will be checking in every now and then to catch up with the latest news. I'll still be driving the Fabia because it is so much fun and I can surprise more people in it than in my new one. Wanted to say thanks to all those who have helped me out with advice etc over the years. See you later

Someone please confirm my problem!
max132 replied to danny6189's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Try flushing the system till it runs clean and then refil. Did this to mine which had similar problem and it worked. I also changed the expansion tank and cap as a precaution which may be your next job if the flushing doesn't work. Good luck -
Finally got mine sorted (fingers crossed) - bought new expansion tank and cap from eurocarparts - flished system until it ran clean (was very brown to start) then fitted new tank and refilled - seems to be OK a week later so hope thats it - will have to drain again before winter though as no antifreeze in it at the mo. hope yours turns out to be as simple PS don't buy tank and cap from ebay as that added to my problems for ages as that was leaking worse than before.

part nimber is 1ML805903 (at least was about 18 months ago) - easy to fit and if it goes wrong you are only screwing into bottom of bumper molding so you won't see anything - takes a bit of time to line up but once done just a case of screwing on - search on here for fitting guides good luck

Set mine to middle first and changed it to stiffest after about 2 days. Never had any problems with the so called lift off understeer. Think you'd have to be really pushing it to achieve that. Give it a go. Pretty easy to adjust if you don't like it.

Are pipercross really that noisy?
max132 replied to IllusionEntity's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
I've got a pipercross induction kit - it does sound a little more throaty but is not excessively noisy. Never had a problem with the police. (at least not from this). -
Unit18 or Ptorque remap? based in Wolvo
max132 replied to Beancounter1980's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Had all my tuning done by Will a P-Torque and couldnt be happier. Give him a call. Great bloke and maps the car to protect components Haven't used unit 18 but all the reviews on here a good but I can defiantly recommend P-Torque. -
Was good meeting you all on Saturday. Will hopefully be able to stay the distance next time.

sorry to hear this scotty - unlikely to spot it down here but hope they catch the Feckers and you get it back in one piece - like the idea of the Leon FR+ - let us all know how it goes if you still get the chance. hope it all works our well

Hi mate. Try to get someone with vagcom reader to check for faults. I had similar problem with no light and turned out to be MAP sensor wiring had rubbed against bulkhead. Look on forum for those in your area who can help. I'm in south Wales if you are close.
-
I have Sachs Peformance Clutch and kept OEM flywheel - Clutch is heavier that standard but you get used to that (rated to 400lb ft) - heard that SMF can be noisy and not so good for use in a lot of slow traffic so I chose a middle option.

Same problem here - searched the forum and looks like loads of people suffer similar issues - had mine looked at and pressure test was fine - they couldn't find any leak and it didn't loose water with them - I changed the expansion bottle and and took it out for a run - when got back watter was bubbling from the cap - changed that today and tried again - light came on mid journey and when I got back I noticed new cap also loosing some water. Expansion tank was full to the top as the water was trying to get out. I have noticed mine looses water only when I drive it harder - used it all last week with dodgy MAP sensor (ie never went over 3000 rpm) and didn't loos a thing so I assume the higher pressure is causing a weakness somewhere. I was also told it would be the water pump. I'll let you know if I solve this - post your results if you will and I'll keep an eye out cheers

Will try my best to make this - don't put me down for lunch though as not sure how long I can stay for - hope the weather is good - look forward to seeing you all

I'm from Pontyclun area - have VCDS Code reader if anyone ever needs a hand - don't expect expert advice though - I rely on here for that
