  1. I have a squeaking sound when I start my Octavia 1.9Tdi in the morning, it disappears after a while. The sound can be heard in this video. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/84545766/Skoda%20sound.mp4 It gets faster (more common) when I turn up the RPM. It's coming from the passengers side of the car, but I can't determine from where exactly. Have any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks!
  2. Well, I left the car alone for a few hours, after that I've driven it for about 100 Km, and the problem was gone, now it works as it should. If you have any ideas on what went wrong, please write down your theory.
  3. Yes, everything is normal when I cycle trough the options. Maybe the best way to describe the problem is that the average fuel consumption is behaving like the instantaneus fuel consumption. But only on MFA1.
  4. It's average, I know how to use my car. Everything is normal with the KM. It just started this morning, and it's the same now. I've driven about 15KM.
  5. It's average, I'm sure. It's happening while I'm driving. It's not swiching between MFA1 and MFA2, but I noticed that it's only happening in MFA1, and works normally in MFA2.
  6. My trip computer is reading the average fuel consumption wrong, for example, one moment it shows 6.7 l/100km , and the other 2.4 l/100km, and so on... I hooked it up to VAG-COM, and it didn't show any errors, also I reseted the board computer. It didn't help. Have you any advice on how to fix this?
  7. Hi, I have this strange sound comming from my wheels (I think). (Skoda Octavia mk1, 1.9 TDi, 110hp, 2000.-year of production) It appears to be louder at speeds around 80km/h, and then dissapears, when I speed up more. I attached the sound to the post, so you can listen and tell me what do you think it is, and how to fix it. You can hear it at 5s, 10s, 17s, 23s, and it's louder at 28s. Please help me out if you can, thanks! skodasound.mp3
  8. Is it possible that the CTS is slowing the starter down also? Sorry about the repeating questions, but I want to be sure what is causing the problem, before I order a new part.
  9. Well f***... :-) The authorised services in my country do not sell original parts, they only sell them if they install them themselves. (For what they charge too much) Well, I will have to order a new sensor online and check the battery, and the starter... Btw: When I started the car for the first time today, I stepped briefly on the gas pedal (while turning the key), and it started immediately. Does anyone have an idea why?
  10. No, it's a "Beru", like the one from this link. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=150733900082
  11. Sorry, I don't know what "goosed" means. :-) Btw, as I said, the sensor was replaced today with a new one, but it still reports low temperatures. (But the error in VAG COM is gone)
  12. Here's the picture, sorry, the forum keeps logging me off for some reason.
  13. Btw: VAG COM reads the temperatures like this (it goes up to 8.5°). Is this normal for a Mk1 Octavia?
