The reason you baught your fabia?
Orguss replied to ollievrsDERV's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
My modded Leon Cupra was getting 26mpg and with a 250mile a week commute I needed something fun and economical -
So after receiving the clutch a week or two ago I finally got it fitted yesterday. (FYI I've never driven an updated clutch before) So first impressions... The bite is high and short and the peddle feels no heavier than standard. It engages into gear very smoothly. The fly is definitely louder, tractor maybe, but doesn't bother me. Can't wait to let it bed in and give it a bit of stick.

+1 I'll be up for a group buy -
Sounds more like the boost pipe. My turbo went a month ago and the back if my car was covered in oil, still was a good excuses for a hybrid

Couple hundred miles in and running good so far, no slip I've always been light on it anyhoo

Race Blue Fab - what colour wheels?
Orguss replied to Cooperuk's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
+1 White wheels -
Torque and power aren't confirmed yet, it was driven with data logging for the remap rather than put on a rolling road. Estimates are around the 300lbft mark though. I'll get her on a rr once i have a new clutch

I rev match on down shifts and have never treated the Furby as a 0-60 drag racer so i can't see any issues just being paranoid i think.

So after my turbo blowing two weeks ago i got my Vrs back this morning with a Turbo dynamics Hybrid PD130 and a remap to 200bhp-ish I didn't have the cash for a new clutch and the current one is the original clutch, hence the map being low on power. It's done 30k as standard then 40k mapped to about 170, but is in good condition still. So how long will my clutch last? or will it last the two months i need to get the cash for the clutch? Already been warned not to accelerate hard in first or second, shock horror!

So for me they've all been VAG 1) N plate MK3 Golf 1.9 Diesel (non-Turbo) in Candy White - tractor but reliable 2) P plate Mk3 Golf GTI 2.0 8v in Twilight Violet 3) '02 Mk1 Leon Cupra 1.8 20vt Pre-facelift in Black magic - Remapped to 210bhp 4) '06 Fabia VRS in Red (current) Miss the power of the Leon but not the 28mpg on super unleaded -
Looks like an SE bumper, shudder to think what happened to the poor car. Chaved or smashed.
