sharkrider Your a star mate! you have just saved me a lot of time and money ,just had a look and sure enough something is not good with pedal what a ****** to get to,just taken the seat out to make it easier to see my 50 year old joints dont bend like they used to i dont supose anyone has a spare pedal kicking around the local stealer wants £37 + and cant get it untill tuesday.

Hi all need some advice please just had to ditch my 2001 rs as the clutch made a bang and the pedal is stuck to the floor there is a black plastic l shape bracket that came off at the same time So can you tell me if the clutch is cable( thats what im hoping} or is it hydrualic ideas please as to what may have happened ,i was only changing gear ,the clutch has been fine but it has now done 130000and is still the original one thanks guys

Hi all My daughter has just bought an 02 plate 1.4 fabia 16 v a week ago from a skoda main dealer in worthing It has done 40 k with a full main dealer service history .she paid £2400 but it is in good nic I asked the salesman if the cam belt had been done and he said he would check and if it needed it would be done as there was no mention of it in the the service record, and it would also have a years mot On picking car up we were told that it did not need one , my understanding is four years or 60 k . Also on the mot there were advisorys that some front suspension bushes are worn . So do you think she is in her rights to demand that at least the cambelt is changed . thanks

Not sure Which Mats you have been sent but i stand by what i said the quality is excellent probably thicker pile than the originals and the service was good I agree his response was not good but sounds like you may have upset him with your first complaint

Hi Terry Ive just fitted my towbar on my 2001 vrs and i did not need a 7 way bypass the octy 1 has no bulb failure recognition as far as i know

Hi Guys i need a little advice please. my son has just bought a seat a leon on a 99 plate with the 1,4 16 valve engine ,its done 60000 and never had a cambelt change ,i am worried its going to let go . I cannot find any information on the engine but i think its the same lump thats in the 1.4 fabia . how hard the job is to do and the likely price to get it done . thanks all.
