  1. I just bought a 2009 Audi A3 1.9 with similar mileage. Full service history. For some reason, I was a little apprehensive prior to collection despite being aware of how good these engines are if properly maintained. I have owned numerous 1.9 lumps in the past. Now I have collected it, I realise my concerns were totally unfounded. It is fabulous. The car is driven by my wife on 20 mile return journeys three times per week. Given the price of the car, I already factored in any possible dpf issues. It still provides massive bang for buck compared to buying new or nearly new. Enjoy your car.
  2. Yes sorry.......did not clock that. Good luck with resolving
  3. I have the same problem. You may find the below link useful. http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php/28826-Coolant-Temp-Level-light-Flashing Cheers
  4. Crikey. Now you are really rubbing it in with those pictures!!!
  5. Yes. Old bonelorry has raised the game and taken it to a new level. I recently sorted my garage with new shelves etc. I was rather pleased with my efforts until I saw Bonelorrys garage.
  6. Like your bikes, but even more so admire your garage. Looks great.
  7. Sad about your mate. My previous next door neighbour also lost his life on a bike. Bikes are great fun but demand full on respect at all times. Enjoy your bike. It looks great.
  8. Nice looking machine that MT 09 with the single seat set up. Nice colour combination too. welcome back too!
  9. That’s an awful account of ignorant behaviour. Best wishes for your move to Deutschland. It’s a great place.
  10. I owned a 2013 facelift Greenline from new for 4years, before it ended up at Fords of Winford via the trade. It was absolutely fantastic on fuel and my real world average was 60.
  11. I used to own a 2013 1.6 Superb Greenline. It was a great car, but the heater was poor and occasionally had a mind of its own. In deep winter time, there could be a delay of 10 miles before significant heat came through.
  12. Dirty disgusting diesel for my nasty polluting Mini at £1.28 today, Sainsbury’s, Kidderminster.
  13. I think that the best prices are for unmodified cars. 1600 - 1700 is not far from the mark though. I sold my unmodded car with 110k for a little over £2k. The Autotrader valuation is nowhere near if your car is in really good order. Good luck
  14. Bike all repaired and back to new condition after my initial service at BMW. Finished my additions now with Oxford Heated Grips and some really excellent Barkbuster handguards I fitted this morning. It may be advancing years on my part, but returning to a small, light, single cylinder machine has proven so much fun. Happy as Larry with this little machine.
  15. I looked at buying the Jazz for the room and the quirkiness. It’s nice to do different. Wife and I were getting set on a purchase until a terrible thing happened...................................I drove it. Gutless, boring, noisy and totally uninspiring. We both knew, more or less within 2 miles, that it was not for us. It was so bad, we both burst into laughter. Shame, because I really wanted to own one.
  16. Glad you managed to sell the Superb. It looked lovely. I sold my Greenline last year. Damn good car. Enjoy the beemer.
  17. Jonathon Rea......what a charming fellah and no bike licence!
  18. He is 6ft 5ins and a massive unit. Apart from that, he’s a top bloke and I couldn’t get angry with him. Repairs are all organised already with BMW. Hes already had plenty of stick from other mates. It will last for years too!
  19. I cried! No so much what I did to my bike today, but more what my mate did................he came over for a ride, sat on my new bike but failed to put it back on the stand properly. Result........bike on floor with broken brake lever, bar end and damaged exhaust cover. I am still crying..........
  20. Strangely, if you look around some lights dull and others appear fine. Good luck anyway
  21. Save your money. There are plenty of headlight restore kits on the market that also include a lens protector. I bought a kit and restored my Fabia Mk1 lenses having been in the same position as you. It cost me £11 and a bit of elbow grease. T cut is an alternative but takes more time and effort.
  22. A few small addition: Givi extended screen Hepco Becker (full face helmet size) top box Side stand extended foot Rear brake pedal extender. (the original is somewhat awkward if wearing boots) Heated grips next on the agenda and possibly some handguards.
  23. The new baby beemer. Light, simple, comfortable but great fun once you get used to winding up the single cylinder 313cc. Still treating this one gently though unlike the demonstrator I took out.
  24. I have the 1.2 Fox as a runabout and buy all parts from ECP to routinely self service at a fraction of garage cost. I am no mechanic but the simplicity of the car lends itself to self servicing. Incidentally, there is a pollen filter accessible under the glove box. The only specialist tool I have needed is a spark plug coil puller that I got online for £8 instead of the VAG tool in excess of £30. (A simple hook shaped item to ensure easy coil removal). You may find the attached pdf useful. Good luck fox_2004.pdf
