I did mine the other day and plastic water pump impeller came out in bits. Timing belt kit £91 water pump £20.8 from euro car parts.

Just thought that I would post this for folks info. Service my 03 VRS other day and thought best to do timing belt and water pump as at 69000miles. When I removed the water pump the impeller came out in bits, so get it changed before it to late!!

afraid can understand maybe why by the looks Hendrys only have one garage now. Bought my VRS1 from Maxwell st, taken back for warranty work 200mile round trip, coolant fault, 3 times before fixed, two thermostats,seal and then a temp switch finally to fix it. Wife took it in for a service and left it with them, got phone call later to say needed 4 new tyres, front/rear brake disc's/pads and a wish bone bush. Lucky she said no to getting them changed. When through MOT after with no problem and service at Ingram Ayr 10000 miles and near a year later and all ok. Be warned maybe different garage but same people in charge, check before you get work done. For this the only reason for not getting another VRS, may go for focus st,

Hi did you remove the plug from the window motor and check for corroded teminals? had problems with my drivers door lock and elec wing mirror.

Wouldn't deal with them again, had some bad experiences with them!! When they were at St Andrews. Nothing near them then either.

Hi All Thought had better join this forum after helped me for the second time. Had problems with electric windows,central locking and drivers door mirror, auto electrican had said it was convenience unit in dash at fault, but after having a look on here, had a look inside driver door to find teminals corroded on window regulator plug. Now repaired and all seems to be working apart from alarm for light left on when door open. Thanks all who left posts on this.
