Hi Thanks all for your thoughts on the Yeti I have Octavia 3 4x4 at the moment,But wish i had bought an Auto,No new Octavia 4x4 out with Auto untill the Scout comes out in a few months and that will be too Exspensive,I have the chance to swop mine for a New Yeti Auto and wanted to see what you all thought About them. Hi Looking for owners thoughts on living with a 140 Tdi DSG And Manual Gearbox Yetis, How do you rate them for day to day driving and what sort of average mpg do you get. Also what do you think to the Driving Dynamics ,Do you like the steering,Handling,Is there much road and wind noise ? Any info appreciated ,As I am thinking of getting a Yeti but not sure to go Auto or Manual. Thanks.

Hi What does yours feel like through the steering wheel ? ,I am trying to find out if this is a design fault with this new Car as I have never Had any Vibrations at all on my MK2 Octavia Tdi that I just swopped for this. I would of thought all the money it cost to make this new Design that it would of been a big improvement not a backwards step regarding NVH . Pete

It might be something to do with mine being the 4x4 then or the different tyres I had fitted from new Anyone else got the 4x4 Combi if you have what do you think of the steering do you feel any vibrations through the steering wheel while driving. ? Cheers.

Hi Just replaced my mk2 Octavia with a new Mk3 Combi Tdi and I am thinking I liked the steering more on The Mk2. The new one does not have as much feel to it and also seems to transmit Some Vibrations from the road and engine direct to the steering wheel. Does any one else feel that with there Tdi Engined car, Cheers.

These seat height adjuster levers seem very poor for something that will be used a lot. In my experience any part of a machine that needs human input in some way to make adjustments or to work it should be made of a high quality material so when you use it you can feel it is up to the job,It gives you confidence in the rest of the machine. Hope Skoda read this.

Hi all I just took delivery of my new COMBI 4X4 SE TDi 150 on Saturday and on the way home I was so pleased the car had No rattles. Got in to it Monday and there was a rattling noise coming from the passenger side on investigating it appears to indeed come from The seat height adjuster lever banging against the side of the seat,Also these levers appear to be made very cheaply and don't look like they are strong enough . I will stick some felt on there too great idea. Cheers

Well I have to agree with the above As Today I took delivery of my new Octavia SE 150 TDI 4x4 Combi And I have to say it is the Best car I have had so far. On collection it had 6 miles on it and after driving home 80 miles the average mpg was 56.5 and that was driving at 65-70 on the motorway. The car is very nice to drive with a good ride and very little road or wind noise,The gearbox is very easy and smooth to use and the clutch also very nice. Build quality seems very good and the boot is Huge ,Mine came with a full size spare wheel that fits under the completely flat variable boot floor. Instruments are nice and clear and the sat nav and couler maxi dot are very nice to use and look at,also has voice control,Bluetooth etc What other new estate car can you buy that does over 50 mpg and also has 4x4 and has low emissions ? I can say I did not find A direct rival for this car when I looked in to it before ordering mine apart from a subaru and for one of those you would need another £10,000 for a car with higher emissions and not as good as this is. Very happy Pete.

Hi The plumber How are you getting on with your 150 4x4 any thing to report ? Not got mine yet but should have it sometime in the next 3 weeks Is that rear bumper protector worth buying and is it a skoda one or the cheaper one from superskoda also I do not know if you were aware that superskoda have now got some black stick on door trims like the mk2 octavia had as standard,You get 4 for £50 and they are paintable. Hi I think it will be 35mm more than the standard 4x4 without rough road pack ,So just 20mm more than one with it.

I have to agree with The Plumber on this,I like the standard new style 4x4 without the add on black trims. And the sticking out silver parts don't add anything to it. When Audi did the last A4 Allroad they had as standard black wheel arch trims but you could pay extra to have them painted the same as the body ,I think this new scout would look nicer with the black trim painted. Also I can not see how it will cost from £23,000 as I have on order the SE TDI 150 4x4 and that is not far off that before discount ,I would think the scout with the 185ps Tdi engine will be some where around £25-27k before some discount Also I wonder if you could just buy some scout springs and dampers and lift a standard 150 Tdi 4x4 up by 35mm with min cost.

Hi All Sounds very promising ,Interested in what sort of mpg you are getting so far ? I have decided to have the standard tyres removed before delivery and some Hankook optimo 4S all season tyres fitted to it,I will sell the original tyres . My octavia I have now has had goodyear vector 4 seasons tyres on it for over a year and a half now and I have been very impressed with the low noise level,grip in dry and wet and on snow last year ,I would of bought another set for the new car but the price of them has gone up a lot. Tyre dealers I spoke to recommended these Hankook tyres as a direct competitor to the goodyears so I thought I would try a set to see. What is yours like with the raised ride height can you tell much difference in the handling,Also what tyres did it have on when you collected it ? Cheers Pete.
