  1. i use to use retreads on my 16v golf years ago they have to meet safety standards they land jumbo jets on retreads so they must be ok i never had any problems years ago with retreads and use to drive car reasonably hard they wore out quite quickly but you get what you pay for! have you had a look at blackcircles and my tyres for a decent price as your size tyre should be around £45/50 for new
  2. check the wiring plug at the pump as had some break the wiring the sensors are in/on the pump 1 is at the tail end of the pump 2 is at the top they need to be working to start and run engine
  3. you can adapt out the seatbelt warning the seat belt stalk is the culprit as ive coded out a couple now
  4. 400nm torque seems a little high for a standard car a 1.9 150bhp pd engine develops 320nm standard it should say the spec in the owners manual
  5. look at miltek as not noisy but sound throaty good quality and fit well
  6. i allways use VW quantum longlife 111 in this type engine its 50 700 5w30 for longlife servicing if you change the interval to yearly 10k then i would use VW quantum platinum 5w40 this is suitable for all pd engines
  7. it depends whats wrong if it the centrals electrics module then they arent cheap to buy/fit/code you need someone with a vcds to check this fault as you can energise the horn etc using output tests to check cem
  8. its a sach based assy so i fitted a sach dual mass as well the clutch is a little heavier but you expect this as the clamping force is a lot greater
  9. ive done a few in most cases it does the turbo as well
  10. check helix clutches in banbury i fitted one to the other halfs seat cupra 150 remapped and its excellent
  11. ze912 on leon and they are brilliant for price last and grip good fk952 on evo so far good grip wet and dry havnt been on long enough to comment about wear the ze914 as said are meant to be slightly better in wet
  12. ive got nankang on my van and they are pants allright they have lasted ok but wet grip poor and wear on outer edges a car i had before had nexen and they didnt last
  13. is the car smoking under load? check for boost leaks from pipes check the turbo actuator to see if jammed i would suspect variable veins seized rather than n75 check the vacuum hoses that go to n75 and turbo
