  1. Thanks Silver1011. In reply to the other comments I'm not in the habit of driving in the dark with sidelights, I'm quiet capable of deciding when it's deemed necessary to switch my dipped headlamps on! So back to the original qn, I guess FL VRS owners no what I mean...
  2. Has anyone found a way to stop the LED DRL's dimming when you switch the lights to the side light position, Surely if you switch your side lights on it's because the you need to be seen better and the LED's should be at there normal bright position. It's often the case when your clearly visible from the front because the DRL are bright but you need the rear lights on so you have to put the side lights on. I have access to VCDS but wouldn't know where to look
  3. Sometimes 1 of my rear sensors thinks something is behind which can be annoying, only happens occasionally though, have checked it made sure there's no dirt on it or anything so must be faulty, anyone else has this problem?
  4. Mercedes & SEAT wouldn't enable them from factory if they were illegal They are useful really make a difference when there's no street lighting
  5. Variant:: vRS Engine: Diesel Transmission: Manual Hatch or Estate: Estate Colour: Candy White Extras: Rear Sensors Mods to date: Tints, Fiscon Bluetooth, VCDS - Emergency brake, cornering fogs, tear drop wipe
  6. White suits VRS best think you got this the wrong round greenie .... should be silver if you're over 60 Not seen to many ice cream van looking white vrs's anyhow :wonder:
  7. Was it the angle you saw them at? they're different to say audi led's because of the lens they sit behind, if you look at them straight on and low down you get the full impact slightly blue brightness, but if look at them from the side or down at them they perhaps appear yellowish?
  8. Moley, I drive the the M42 everyday J3-J1 I don't think I've ever seen a FL VRS on there! I see loads of Leon FR's though
  9. Yeah that is frustrating when you need them to be a bit brighter if anything they go dimmer, there must be some way of 'fixing' this in vcds
  10. Anyone who flashes someone because they have led drl's on shouldn't be driving full stop they're probably the same morons that sit in the middle lane on motorways, they should just be disqualified for not knowing how to drive
  11. Cant you just drive and then put your foot to the floor? If you cover the person behind in black smoke you've not got one?
  12. you wouldn't be the registered keeper that would be the finance company, I got insured np with direct line, not expensive imho either just under £400 for 30yr old clear license and full ncb
  13. I got a fiscon kit fitted last week to my VRS, used OEMretrofits in Bradford. Interface is great and works with so many more phones than the skoda option. Will start a thread soon with some photos
  14. Where will you be getting your remap done? I plan getting one done in January too, will use Viezu (used to be Chipped UK)
  15. Yeah nice, I got mine today, Subtle it's not though in white, will add some photos to a thread soon when rain stops! stands out as much as the car it replaces - an Impreza! Interior quality makes a nice change
  16. I'm the same, get mine on Wednesday! Will post some pics, getting VRS 170 too, estate in candy white
  17. The main reason of this feature is during a reverse park isn't it, so you can point both mirrors down quickly?
  18. Great pictures! Can't wait for mine now either, just 2/3 more weeks and counting, did you go for the tinted windows? what other options? can't really tell from the photos, some more will be good...
  19. Does anyone have any photos of a dash that hasn't got the Maxidot display? Just curios as waiting for delivery of mine that doesn't have and wandered what it would display and how?
  20. Does anyone have any photos of the facelift dash without maxidot?
  21. and isn't it £480? Does anyone know what this is in the brochure? As far as I can see, this looks like the best option; OEMRetrofits Just frustrating as before the Octavia I was considering a Scirroco and the Volkwagon dealer offered an aftermarket option to add bluetooth in to their touchscreen unit which is the same I think RCD510? they told me it was better than the factory option as it was compatible with more phones and was only ~£200 It is too late to add it as an option I managed to get a preordered car for quicker delivery, downside was it was totally standard (apart from rear parking sensors)
  22. Have read a few posts relating to this but could do with options summarised, I will be getting a FL VRS 170 manual delivered end of this month, I haven't specified any options so I presume it wont have the maxidot. I want to add bluetooth compatibility and ideally want it fully integrated and controlled through the Bolero. Is this something that can be fitted at a dealers?
