  1. Took it off my 2016 Octavia before it got handed back. I believe they can be reprogrammed for other cars but having never done it I don't J with what is involved! £250 Ono posted Paid by PayPal gift.
  2. I've just gone through this - Audi particularly for the A4 was a very base spec car and everything was extra. The Passat had a business pack included satnav as did the superb and the octy. I ended up with the octy as I wanted the lower tax payments.
  3. I'd be soaking the glowplugs in plus gas for a week or two, then getting the engine nice and hot and trying the rest. That would then point me in a direction....
  4. Is it through a lease company like lex? I fitted and aftermarket towbar to my lease car, called the lease company who wrote me a letter (mass produced) to say it was OK as long as fitted by a competent person and that the towbar should either be left on at the end of the lease or the car returned to prior towbar condition. All very easy and no hassle - Volvo quoted £1300 for their towbar, local guy £270 for a PCT automotive.....
  5. I'm Gloucestershire and I ordered a Greenline Business SE Estate. Delivery date has gone back as there is no one to deliver it to me....
  6. I used to use waxoyl - now I use Bilt Hamber. A lot less messy than waxoyl and self heals unlike waxoyl which always seems to flake off after a while. It comes in a spray can with an injection lance too so you can I ject into box sections etc. UB50 for underneath and UC for the engine bay, bonnet, doors etc.
  7. Just been told mine will be delivered to me 3rd March - ordered on 2nd November.
  8. Still waiting for mine - a 1.6 Greenline business SE estate with no extras ordered first week of November.....
  9. If I was in the market for a modded car to that spec- then £2k sounds reasonable. However modding is very personal and not everything suits everyone. You may get a quicker sale if you strip the parts and sell separate and you may realise more value. I'd stick it up for sale at the £2k and see what happens first then make a decision if your not in a rush to sell.
  10. Did anything come back from this one? Have you had one fitted? Thanks Tom
  11. Funny, my parents are members due to them being teachers...... And in a member as they're my parents......
  12. Not sure what you do - but if you are or know a civil servant (teacher etc) you could join CSMA and you get free legal advice with your membership. Or - do you have legal cover on an RAC membership or similar?
  13. Chris Mullins Tyres Unit 1 325 Bristol Road Gloucester GL2 5DN 01452 529537 http://www.chrismullins.co.uk/ Always beats any tyre price around when you ask, does all my motorbike tyres too - all round good service. Well reccomended.
  14. I had Nexen Rodians on a jeep - they had the snowflake symbol on. Very quite, no problem at all in snow. I'd have them again.
  15. Not quite - if you are able to pass IAM with no marks then you are capable of earning a first which is the equivalent of a ROSPA gold. I've got ROSPA gold in car and a First on the bike. After doing both types the only difference is the group and what they offer. For me with the bike at this time I got more from being a member of the local IAM bike group than the ROSPA group - they seemed more friendly and more "human" At the end of the day if you want to do this go and visit your local groups both IAM and ROSPA and decide which best suits you and gives you what you want out of advanced riding/driving.
  16. I ordered an Octy business Greenline estate with no extras at the beginning of November - delivery due end Feb. I had a seat 1.6 Leon for a while as a hire car - really enjoyed it and happy I've gone for the 1.6 in the octy instead of the 2.0. Not sure what the Superb would be like with the extra bulk but suspect if you're not in a rush it will be fine.
  17. Work ordered mine beginning of November - been given a delivery date of end of February. Ah well - February is a short month and by that time the weather should have improved so won't be getting too dirty! Tom
  18. Meant to add a link...... https://www.coeliac.org.uk/coeliac-disease/about-coeliac-disease-and-dermatitis-herpetiformis/symptoms/
  19. For anyone that is diagnosed with IBS it is worth having a blood test for coeliac particularly if you know wheat/gluten gives you issues. From my own experience and research it seems a huge amount of people who are diagnosed with IBS are actually misdiagnosed Coeliac. The Coeliac Society website is pretty good. Tom
  20. Is Oscar Mayer still there employing huge amounts of Poles and Lithuanians? They used to go out drinking in a Friday night and end up beating 7 bells out of each other......
  21. Now on Ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-Vectra-DTI-2-0-Match-Estate-/221559605226?
  22. 2004 Vauxhall Vectra Design DTI Estate. Logbook shows 4 former keepers and we acquired the vehicle on 31/08/2013. The car shows 201,820 miles on the Speedo however the actual mileage is 129,780 miles as the Speedo was changed at 122,619 miles. We have kept the old Speedo and have written the changeover date and mileage on it. The garage who we bought the car from changed the speedo over as it stopped working, they wrote a letter to confirm the work had been done. The car is fitted with a Parrot MKI19200 Bluetooth kit so you can use your ‘phone hands free and also listen to you MP3 player or IPod. The car has factory fitted cruise control and a 5 cd changer. It has an alarm. This all works. The car has a service history however it is not a full Vauxhall service history. The entries in the service book are as follows: 20/09/06, 39,475 by Vauxhall Winchester. 13/06/07, 50,031 by Premier Ford, Isle of Wight. 07/01/09, 68,754 by Vauxhall Bristol. 28/08/13 122, 385 by RB Cars, Churcham. 30/11/13 124,500 by myself. (Full service with Millers Synthetic oils.) I replaced all of the brake discs and pads on the car and there are receipts in the file for these. The car has recently had new wiper blades front and back (receipts in file). We replaced all of the springs on the car as we found three of them were broken (Receipt in file) I cleaned the EGR valve as I had heard stories of them sticking (It was very black inside) so this all works correctly. We put a set of four tyres on the car in April of this year and at the same time had the alloy wheels sandblasted back to bare metal and resprayed in the original silver colour. The car has a set of HID lights fitted on the low beam. These are the only repairs that we have had to carry out whilst we have had the car, it has been entirely reliable and has not let us down. The car is not immaculate; it has been used as a family car and has a few scars to prove it. The rear right hand bumper corner has been bumped and has some scrapes on it. The front left had wing by the headlight has been bumped and has a dent in it. The front bumper has been hit and ideally could do with replacing. The front right headlight glass is going frosty and needs either machine polishing or replacing. There are various other small dents and dings around the car from being parked in car parks and the rear left hand corner has been resprayed at some point (there is evidence of overspray in the wheel arch) The car has no tax and is SORN. The car does however have a full years MOT which is being finished today. In order to pass it needed one of the headlamps refitting as it had unclipped itself from its housing and it required the rear brake calipers to be free'd off as they were sticking slightly. We are asking £1200 ono for the car and the price reflects the damage and lack of tax. We are looking for a quick sale so offers will be considered.
  23. Just seen this as been in Barcelona for a week - no PMS received?
  24. Went out with a mate today to meet another mate at Tintern Abbey. Then came back to AV8 in Kemble for a cuppa and saw these land. Anyone know what they are? https://vimeo.com/106119371
