For the standard 288mm vrs setup 04plate, what's the best disc and pad combo for hard stopping of road and track? I asked earlier today about size upgrade but it seems too much, so new dot5 fluids, braided hoses, what discs, want the cold start bite and ability to take 20mins track action.

You can see why it's so confusing. Has anybody done it to a VRS? Some people say it's impossible.

I have 04vrs with standard brake setup with EBC green-stuff pads front and back. I want to improve these by going to 312mm discs on he front. Does anyone know where, or part number for carriers to fir standard callipers onto larger discs. There so many threads out there it's confusing, and so many old eBay links, that don't work.

Does anyone know where I can get a set of fabric car mats for a mk1 fabia vrs. I would prefer a original new set rather than fake. Is there a eBay set people have had or a site that I can get them off. Jim

my wife has dented the roof of my fabia vrs, by reversing it into the garage door, whilst the door wasnt fully open. The door caught on the aerial and bent the aerial and also dentd the roof where the aerial base is. Are bothe bits fixable/replacable? If so how much?

My car is a Fabia VRS 04. Went to brake hard today andd brakes locked up. Noticed ABS and ASR orange lights are on. neither systems are working. got home and stopped car, Re-started car and no problems, went for drive and abs ABS and ASR working until about 10 mins into journey the ASR and ABS lights came back on, tried brakes and driving steady all ok, Tried with a bit more passion and neither sytems work. Help. Third time I started car today INSP and spanner symbol came on and then some time later, ASr and ABS lights came on. Car was serviced (Small service with timing belt £300)weeks ago and came back with a good health, I know Service warning system was reset then. Help, i hope this is cheap,

mines spraying all over the floor under the engine bay, where does the piping go / wheres the connection?

My VRS has started playing up this week. Ocassionally when I unlock car single press or double press, the drivers door want unlock(bit dosent come up), will unlock when opened from inside, or if key inserted in door lock. Why? Tried the search and it mentions WD40 somewhere, not that mechanically minded

I'm sure i've read on here before, but cant find it in the search. I'm after a lead from the standard symphony stereo using the cd changer slot to go to an iphone/ipod lead. Is there such a lead? How much and where from? Many thanks James

Is it possible to buy a lead that can link a Iphone( apple plug or 3.5mm phono plug) to the standard sympony stereo, and allow music to b played through aux or cd changer input?

Yep. The pipes just slighty off. Car feels lot quicker. Traction control is doing more work. Car feels like it has more torque and top end, althoughmore laggy bellow 1800rpm.

The boost hose off the intercooler keeps coming off. I've had it come off 3 times, then I had a new one fitted 4 weeks ago. now its off again. it's the 90' one that is horizontal then come vertical, just behind the drivers head light. When its on the car feels slower(might just be me), then it comes off, not all the way, and car pulls through the revs so quickly. When its like this it does soot more. I asume car is standard. Only had it 9 months, its a my04 with 72k. Why does it keep coming off? What can i do?
