  1. I have to say that I haven't experienced the condensation. Instead, I think that AFS is behaving strange sometimes, lighting to much on the side of the roads and not in front of the car. I know that somehow it's supposed to work like that, but I don't like it always and I switch from auto to short beam .
  2. I have the same problem. I think is coming from water pump. Also in cold mornings there is present a noise like a "squeaky bearing". Wednesday I'm going to service shop for maintenance (60.000 km) and I hope they will be able to fix this also... :( If you want to add coolant it has to be G13. I had trouble finding it into shops so I bought from dealer.
  3. same here, added heated screen and by default this implies heated front seats. maybe there are diferences betweend different MY. mine is 2014.
  4. A dealer should be able to change them with not to big effort. I have no clue about the cost for chrome roof rails. Usualy in RO dealers have sky high prices for such replacement parts, I hope it is not the case in UK.
  5. What is the waiting time? Cant wait for impressions from first users...
  6. Mine's don't have. And yes, paint did got scratched from the dirt accumulated under the flaps. So I took them off. I polished the scratches, the harm was not that big as I used them only for a few winter months last year.
  7. @ 3nkero: Hi, you already received your VRS 4x4? If yes, how does it feel compared with regular fwd VRS? I am looking into one of these as next company car, Normally I still have 1,5 year of leasing for actual one, but thats not so much.... I am sure it is faster than TDI fwd VRS in corners or on wet surface, or at standstill start. How does it feel in rest, when you overpass for example? On snow it makes no sens to discuss....
  8. Available in Czech Republic.... http://cc-cloud.skoda-auto.com/cze/cze/cs-cz/5e3/68716#!cc-instance=CZE&cc-salesprogram=CZE&cc-culture=cs-cz&cc-model=5E3&cc-carline=68716&cc-equipment=&cc-motor=142424&cc-color=8T8T&cc-interior=LH&cc-packages=&cc-view=step2&cc-configurationId=74552034&cc-viewstate=%7B%22accessoriesItems%22%3A%5B%5D%2C%22selectedAccessories%22%3A%5B%5D%2C%22lastConfigurationHash%22%3A%226_9X_LH_8T8T_%22%2C%22finishDisplay%22%3A%22show%22%7D
  9. That much heavier? I don't know, just wondering. There are 0,5 sec. difference. Not that this is of any problem for me, but I find it odd. Normally, the motor with all that comes should be the same. Bigger brakes, stiffer ani-roll bar, maybe slightly different suspension... these can't be that much heavier. :wonder:
  10. I wonder how is it possible that "regular" octavia hatch 2.0 TDI (184 HP) DSG - 4WD is doing 0-62 mph in 7,1 sec. and VRS with the same spec is doing 7,6 sec. Also VRS has 129 g/km CO2 emissions compared with 125 g/km for the regular octavia hatch.
  11. You can't have VRS brakes on any other current octavia model (from what I know). Progressive Steering is also one impressive bit that you can have only on VRS... I appreciate the + given to handling by this feature. In my opinion only these two things and it's enough to make the difference if you want a more sporty car. I think we all can agree that (at least) TDI version of Octavia VRS is no sports car. For me 4x4 Diesel VRS is the thing what I expected. When new Superb came out, I was almost sure that it will be my next car. Now, if VRS Diesel 4x4 will be available, things change. 4x4 VRS will be faster on 0-60 mph (I dont really care) but most important will be much faster and safer on normal driving, when cornering. In straight line, I don't care... I am not gonna do drag racing...
  12. It seems that you still can do this. I ordered 300ml spray with paint and another one with lacquer. Not at the dealer, but to some detailing company... still it is a skoda genuine product. Looking on skoda UK site for metal grey and CZ site for quartz grey, it seems that really is the same colour and same colour code (F6F6).
  13. Yes, that's correct and the code for metal grey is F6F6. But I don't know if the code for quartz grey is the same or if it's exactly the same colour. I want to buy some paint (spray) and I can't find F6F6. Maybe because now it has other code ?.. I don't know... That's why I'm asking.
  14. Hi, Does anyone know what is the colour code for quartz grey. I understand that this is the new name for metal grey. Or is the same colour code?
  15. Yep, You are right. These are from Audi TT-8J.
  16. Nope. Unfortunately it is the rim not the weights... :( I am afraid that there is no other solution. I have to put spacers or buy other wheels. Damn, I like these wheels so much. So, be careful if you want 8,5 x 17 inch, ET50 rims on your Octavia MK3.
  17. I managed to find out what's the problem with the rubbing. It's this nut. I don't know if I can do something to it, except spacers... but I wanted to avoid spacers... Any ideas, anyone?
  18. ... and this is how it looks like. They fit somehow ok... I say somehow ok because the inside of the wheel is pretty close to the suspension, but still ok. In the front, there is something rubbing against the inside edge of the rim, only when the steering is at the maximum left or right and I go forward. In reverse, curiously there is no problem. I couldn't identify what it is, even I asked a friend of mine to steer and I looked under the car (with the car standing still :p ). I hope that I will be able to find and fix this, if not I will have set of Audi TT rims for sale...
  19. Normally it should fit, and even if it will not be straight forward fit, I don't think there are to many parts to be changed. Some brackets maybe. To be sure I would ask a skoda dealer. They have the proper tools to check what is different, if there is something different. BR Cip
  20. I purchased them. Waiting to be delivered in 1-2 weeks. Can't wait to see how they will change the look of the car. Thanks for the help. Yeah, and... sorry for that this discussion was not about aftermarket wheels. Still, I think my question was best suited to this topic.
  21. Standard wheels are indeed ET51 (18 inch ones) and ET49 in my case (17 inch ones). Regarding the offset it is fine. I did not knew exactly how the width difference will affect me. If you say that the width will be splitted half inside, half outside... that means that It will be ok and the wheel will stay more to outside with approx. 12 mm.
  22. Hi. I want to buy a set of Audi TT wheels, 8,5J x 17, ET 50. My current wheels are 7,5j x 17, ET 49 - VRS original ones. If my calculations are correct these new wheels that I want to buy will stay 24,4 mm to the exterior. Am I right? Please confirm, someone that knows how these thing work. I just love those wheels and it will get me read of the spacers. BR Cip
  23. Well, it is interesting but still fake. At that price I am convinced not to buy it . Thanks for the info Callum. BR Cip
