  1. Hello Folks, I ordered my Mk4 Vrs diesel 7th Nov 2020 and received it 15th Jan 2021 I had email from Skoda UK to say they had received the order on 9th november 2020. The next email from Skoda on 10th Dec to say car was on its way. They kept me informed throughout my purchase. There was a delay due to covid at the dealership but still received car by 15th Jan. I was probably one of the lucky ones as I have had no problems so far with the car and have done almost 4k.
  2. Hello Fellow Members, I purchased a MKIV Octavia Vrs in January 2021. I have had a road trip Upto Scotland, trip to Norfolk. Done almost 3000 miles, no software problems. Car runs fine. I have previously owned a MK1 and a MK2 both totally reliable. The MK2 I had for 12 years sold with original brake pads and exhaust A very happy Skoda driver.
  3. Hello Calvins 48, Thank you for the up-date. Hopefully Skoda will get on top of the software problems.
  4. Hello Parsey83, I did not take any pictures of the car. But found this one of dolphin bay in Inverness with part picture of the car. The other is the isle of Skye.
  5. Thank you for your response to the Laura issue.
  6. Have a good trip and enjoy the roads.
  7. Hello, I received my new MK IV Octavia Vrs on the 15th January 2021. I have been to Scotland for 3 weeks and done 2300 miles. I have had no problems with the car, everything worked as it should. The only annoyance has been with the Laura ( help assistance) keep asking how she can help. I have had 2 previous Vrs a Mk 1 and a Mk 11 both totally reliable. I thought I would post this due to a lot of members feeling unsure of Skoda.
  8. Hello Jezzer123, I also purchased a new Vrs without options. I have had a reversing camera fitted by a company called E.S.P Cars. 0115 9464500 contact name is Richard. I think they have mobile units that cover most of the Country. I did have to wait a month or so due to them getting the software from Poland in order for the camera to work as factory fitted. But since fitting my car they are up and running in fitting cameras. They also fitted a dash cam that I thought was reasonably priced. Hope this is useful.
  9. This is my 3rd Vrs. Had mk 1, then mk 2 now mk4. Very pleased with the car so far. I do like all the driving aids the car has to offer, still getting to grips with the tech. 1. Performance is powerful and smooth. 2. Excellent fuel economy . 3. Comfort. Currently Running the car in with a road trip in Scotland.
  10. Hello Scot5, Thanks for explaining the delivery charge. The cars I have purchased over the years they all came with fuel, just seemed strange for the dealers to ask for payment for fuel. I am more than happy with my deal with the dealerships.
  11. I am in the process of purchasing a new shape Vrs. The dealer has asked for the cost of £30 for fuel to be put into the car. Is this Now common practice. I know it's been a few years since purchasing a new car. Any info helpful. Also do Skoda U.K charge the garages for delivery to there showrooms as I am being charged £500 delivery charge, that I thought was to my address.
