  2. has anyone on here ever had their chain & tensioners replaced to the oil pump and balancer shaft if so how many miles do they need to be replaced and what sort of cost ive heard its quite common on them to snap about 100K destroying the engine it the process

  5. i have got to change the osf wheel bearing once i have taken the hub off the car do i from the rear of the hub remove the circlip then push the bearing out from the outer race or leave the circlip in and push the bearing out from the inner race ? info needed please
  6. the design on them are the same as the astras i have changed a couple of them due to over time water gets in past the rubber boot seal (just below the ball part goes in the arm) and sometimes causes the cable to stick on my guess its the cable
  7. thanks for the reply tried to glue it back together but the loctite glue had a chemical reaction and turned the plastic white i took a trip out to the breakers and they had one but the lid was badly scratched and that was also comming away (must be a common fault?) so i decided to have a closer look at mine and you can take it off from the hinges just push the plastic flap in and slide the pins inwards so got one on order with the dealers not cheap about £40 +vat

  9. hi my mk1 fabia glove box door has started to come away from the inner part of the door i dont know why all i know is that they are bonded together with glue from the factory has any else on her encountered this ? any way is their a way you can take off the glove box door and re-glue back together if so which way does the two pins on the hinge come out inwards or outwards
  10. hello i have brought a battery /alternator wiring loom brand new off ebay all it states in the ad is it fits skoda fabia 2000/2004 thats it only cost me £5.99 the thing is the top half looks different to the one on the car all the connector plugs seem the same accept the air conditioning plug mine is coloured brown the one on the new loom is black the part n.o is 6q0971349g would this fit a 6y2 mark 1 2004 skoda fabia 1.4tdi 3cyl 6v 75bhp with aircon any replies would be a big help please as i don't fancy taking the old one off to find this does not fit
