  1. The holes are to insert a screwdriver to tighten up the fixings when the boxes are in position.
  2. http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-NEW-original-Skoda-GSM-COIN-KEY-holder
  3. Out with the old...in with the new. My phone actually fits in this one!
  4. I have had my Diesel/DSG 7 Octavia for coming up to 9 months and 9,800 miles with no problems at all. The combination works well for me and I would never go back to a manual now.
  5. This is a definite bug - I have had the same thing happen when using voice control to turn off the navigation instructions. WIll be interesting to see if the firmware update for Amundsen fixes this issue (when I finally get around to installing it).
  6. I have seen the thread on this, but it has not been my experience in 6 months of ownership.
  7. Not a VRS, but I went from a manual MKII Elegance to a DSG7 MKIII and would never go back...
  8. As another former MKII estate owner, I have to say that on balance I do prefer the boot layout of the MKIII. This is almost entirely down to the versatility of the latest Variable Boot Floor, and the fact that you can move to the full height boot without having to remove anything (and leave it behind). The ability to store roof bars (even cheap Lidl ones fit perfectly) and the load cover under the VBF is also very useful when your needs change on different legs of a journey. I too missed the storage box under the load cover, so much so that I almost immediately bought the 'multifunction box' http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/375868-octavia-estate-multifunction-box/ The removable panels in either side of the boot that my Elegance MKII had were useful for storing spare bulbs/de-icer etc but I have now got all of this stuff in a plastic storage box that (just) fits under the VBF. The ability to easily change the VBF does mean that I carry less accumulated junk underneath which is probably a good thing. Moving away from the boot, I also really missed the lidded storage box that was under the front passenger seat in the MKII, and have recently fitted both driver and passenger side boxes from Superskoda to replace the almost useless hi-viz jacket holders. As for other niggles - the ability to tip up or completely remove the rear seat bases was a great MKII feature that is missing from the MKIII.
  9. Somewhat delighted to discover that my £20 roof bars from Lidl, originally purchased for my Octavia 2, not only fit well on the Octavia 3 roof rails but also slot perfectly into the storage area under the boot floor... If anyone is interested the bars are these: http://www.menabocaraccessories.com/index.php?page=mnb_pg_dettaglio&id_articolo=6 They have the removable rubber strip to accommodate Thule 'T' fittings too. As with most Lidl/Aldi stuff you just have to wait for the offer to come around again.

  11. Very nice...good colour choice too, though I do prefer the black interior on mine. As others have said the MY16 Amundsen screen looks a lot better.
  12. Just got a left and right boxes from Superskoda (which include fittings). Will get to installing them if it ever stops raining.... Question for anyone who has already done it - is it necessary to remove the seats or will a flexi screwdriver do the job?
  13. I think you will find that the Amundsen fitted in the Yeti is similar only in name to that in the Octavia 3...
