Hi folks, Having major motoring issues, baby no.3 is on route so my Fabia vRS has to go. I never gave it a second thought as I automatically assumed I'd fit 3 car seats in my Octy vRS no problem, how wrong was I? Has anyone got 3 child seats in a Superb? I'll have 2 high back boosters and a group 1,2,3 going into a car, I've been searching online all weekend and it seems the only 'cars' that manage it are Galaxy's, S-Maxs, Alhambras etc. The only proper car that I've found to take 3 full size kids seats is a Merc E Class, no thanks. The Superb would be my much preferred choice with me being a Skoda man, however I seriously doubt three seats will fit after what I've read. And if it can't take 3 child seats, should it carry the title of Family Car of the Year? Thanks in advance, Blair

Hi folks, Just a quick question, does anyone know the maximum weight limit I could put in he boot of my 2012 vRS? Not sure wether the lowered suspension would affect it.

Help needed please - flashing ABS light
blair77 replied to blair77's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Thanks for the advice folks. As well as the flashing lights, the brake lights, wipers, electric windows and indicators also stopped working. Phoned the breakdown people and the car wasn't communicating with their computer either so they reckon a control unit is away. -
Hi folks, Would appreciate a bit of help/knowledge. I've done a search on the forum but have been unable to find a similar problem. I just went out to go a run in my Fabia vRS and the tyre pressure light is on and the ABS light is flashing, it was fine 2 hours ago, an ideas?

How do you clean your Octavia?
blair77 replied to Smert's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
I've never had much time since the kids came along to wash the cars and usually just went to the friendly Polish chaps who got them nice and shiny. I too am a proud new owner of a Blackline, and as it is a white one I decided to go with the dealers Lifeshine package. Then I done a bit of reading on here, cancelled the Lifeshine and the Polish chaps and bought Collinex 846 (think that's what it's called). Gave the car a coat of that last week and plan another coat on the next dry day. Bought shamies and micro fibre clothes, read to avoid sponges as they can hold dirt and scratch the paint work. Plan to wash it once a week and wax with Collinite once or twice a year. Also bought Simomex tyre dresser (think that's what it's called) for the tyres, works a treat. -
Superbio, saves me a trip to Halfords. Many thanks.

Just washed/waxed the car for the first time and had a thought... Does anyone know if the Blacklines came with locking wheel nuts?

Amunsden issue on new Blackline
blair77 replied to blair77's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Hmmm, think I'll send off an email stating that I expect up to date maps on my brand new sat nav, that way I'll have it in writing that I'm not happy and hopefully have some comeback should they charge me the next time they update it -
Amunsden issue on new Blackline

Super, many thanks -
Hi all, Picked up my new Blackline yesterday morning and after 300 miles I love it. So much more classy inside than my old 56 plate vRS and the only thing I don't like about it is the annoying beep when you lock/unlock it. Got a question regarding the sat nav. As it's a brand new car, should the sat nav software not be up to date? The M74 link road in Glasgow isn't on it and it's been open for more than a year.

Stewart ****, seems a nice chap, although he did promise weekly updates, which did happen, but only as I was chasing them. This is my 5th vRS from Ingrams, the customer service has went way downhill. Every chance they get they're trying to 'bump' me. The latest example was on Tuesday when I went in to sign the finance. In the two weeks since I shook hands on the deal, a payment came of my CR-V, which I'm trading in, lowering the settlement figure, and I also decided to ditch the Lifeshine which I was getting charged £207.50 for. It came to roughly £475 that was coming off the deal. When I was handed the new figures to sign my monthly payments had dropped by just over £1. I told him that my calculations of £475 divided by 36 is £12.88, less their APR obviously. He looked shocked that I was ready for them trying to rip me off yet again. I asked why it only came down by £1 and he said he didn't know, must be due to the first registration fee being more expensive. I then said surely that would have been included in my first quote, then he said hold on, clicked a few buttons, looked delighted and showed me the screen. It had magically came down £11 a month, and he then said how's that for you. Blatantly still trying to rip me off right up to the end. Not happy.

It was indeed. 1 day to go. Quite p1ssed off though as all the way through they've been saying 'we've got a 24 hour turnaround period, if we get it Monday morning we'll apply the Lifeshine which takes 24 hours to bond, then you'll get it late on Tuesday". Well, I cancelled the Lifeshine, they got it Tuesday afternoon but I'm not getting it until Friday. Seemingly the salesman has '2 other cars going out on Thursday' so I have to wait until Friday.
