i have just removed all the plugs and the gaps were all over the place, from 0.2mm on a bent plug to nearly 1mm. these were fitted by a main dealer and they couldn't find the problem. all plugs now gapped to 0.8mm and smooth running has returned.
-
Its just had a major service and they had trouble getting plugs out. Could they have damaged anything then and how would i be able to check. Matthew

My superb 3.6 has a rough idle and a slight missfire when idling but runs fine while driving. My local dealer cant find anything that could be causing it. There are no codes coming up that wiuld suggest any failed components. Does anyone on here know what to look for. Cheers Matthew

Now that the 3.6 is now a discontinued model does anyone know how many had been registered in the UK and how many are currently being enjoyed in the wild. I know I enjoy driving mine and from the few members on here with them they are universally praised. matthew

i have just gone into the car insurance comparison sites and my car is coming up as (2015 Skoda Superb Elegance Tsi 4X4, 3597CC Petrol, 5DR, Auto) yet the order form and the conformation of registration sheet that the dealer gave me says that it is a (2015 Skoda Superb Elegance Fsi 4X4, 3597CC Petrol, 5DR, Auto) the strange thing is that the websites list both when you enter the details manually but the prices vary by upto £500 from the same insurer. surely TSI means turbo and the car has not got a turbo so why does the insurance system list as such and is there a way of getting it corrected so as i dont have to pay almost twice the amount on my insurance. do i have to wait for my v5 to come to see what is on that or can i just speak to the insurers to get them to change the details on the system and will i have this problem to sort every year when i get a renewal quote. matthew

the loud pedal seems to be a little addictive and the brakes are a little instant but i will get used to it. the salesman wanted to go through all the reveal and wanted photos to prove that he had sold it to make a show of the handover. the 'slight' difference in power is noticeable when you hit the slip road for the motorway and floor it as normal (for the 1.2) then look at the speedo and have a heart attack at the rate the needle is moving. the boot is huge, i had to climb in to see how the load cover comes out as i couldn't reach it and the powered boot makes me smile. a very happy matthew -
