On a related note, so thought I'd post here. I've noticed latley mine, when it's hot and I've got it on 18deg like always, I get constant bursts of air instead of a steady flow. Could this be a regassing problem?

There's always one....... Thinking about one of those Skoda motorsport stickers but not sure where I could put it. I'm after cheap mods that will make mine stand out from other black vRS Octys.

I've had my briskoda stickers arive and will be getting them stuck soon, but it got me thinking. Anyone done anything else, like manufacturer stickers down the front wings etc like you tend to see on Scoobys? Would imagine it would look good in silver on a black Octy...... Anyone?

Isn't the Skoda paint very thin though, meaning it can make a mess when you heat it?

Bit of a silly quote isn't it? It's a Sony (can't remember the model number, something 2200 I think.) and it worked admirably in the Astra Coupe before the vRS.

Was thinking the same myself actually. My Sony HU doesnt seem to like the Octy way of working when it comes to radio. Even with the booster it just refuses to hold signal. Was thnking of sticking the original unit un for radio, and I could use the CD changer again then.

I don't usually have my cars long enough for them to need an MOT Guys that have used fancyplates, their plate builder makes the text at the bottom of the plate look hooooge, is it that big when you get the plates through?

I need to get some plates made up with slightly non-standard spacing. I used a place a couple of years ago that were great, but can't remember who they were. Need some normal size plates and the square ones too. Anyone recommend somewhere? Cheers

Thinking of getting the phase 1 CC remap done on my Octy vRS, but being the tender age of 22, can see my insurence company throwing a bit of a fit. Wondered if people do generally tell their insrance companies or not? Don't see how they would know to be honest, but do like to stay on the right side of the law....... What do you people do? I paid 11k for my 04 black vRS a few weeks ago. Did even better, dont think the place realised it had parking sensors and Cruise Control !

Got the EXACT same thing on mine. Also had it on my Astra Coupe I traded in. Thought it might be the ARB problem the Octys have? Someone who knows what they're doing, get the panel off and let us know !

I get the odd 'clunk' when going over bumps, sounds like it's coming from the pillars beside my head, or mabye the door. Could that be it? What kind of response am I going to get if I take it in to a dealership?

How do you know there's a problem with the ARB? Wondering if there's a noise I want to be listening out for

The HU is fine, as I can be driving around happy as Larry (who is Larry anyways?), and htne go round a corner and the signal just drops off..... Does sound like a dodgy booster doesnt it?

I had my Sony HU installed in my Octy the other day, and I've just noticed I can't get a half-reasonable radio reception. The place who did it have charged me 18 notes for a signal booster, so maybe it's loose/dodgy? Cheers
