0% Finance available after ordering
octaviaconvert replied to paulwebster's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Ask your dealer, depending on your holding deposit you might, if worst comes to the worst, be able to cancel, and reorder your car from the build list if they won't change the finance -
Vehicle information in Maxidot
octaviaconvert replied to YMe's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
that because its logged in the front assist menu. the vehicle information is for generic vehicle wide messages not related to other specific systems -
Traffic signs on Maxidot
octaviaconvert replied to YMe's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Have a look in the VCDS sticky, Some of the coding changes to allow the traffic sign recognition may support traffic sign display -
enabled it today on my MY16 TDi vRS DSG and what a difference, much better pickup, especially in D and loads of Torque in S

try Chris Knott, one of the site sponsors. They gave me a very good deal a few days ago

Thanks, the car was built on the 6th May, so I'll download the latest beta and try again. I've been resetting the coding as Ive going along. Next time I try it I'll try and do screen grabs as I go just in case of any issues. As for the out of range errors, I found by doing soft resets and coming out of controllers before goign back fixed that issue

Hi, 2 questions for all you VCDS experts out there. I plugged my new MY16 Octavia VRS into VCDS for the first time and started to try coding some of the possible adaptations. the first 3 worked (changing the throttle mode to audi, showing blower speed on auto and switching off the sound generator) and I was able to follow the instructions fairly easily, however when I started to try and code other functions I was getting errors. On trying to change the voltage for the Start/Stop system i followed the instructions: however when i came to apply the new voltage i get an error message saying the value is out of range. I also had this on the first stage of enabling Traffic sign recognition. The next issue is when it comes to enabling the intelligent light assist. I followed the instructions provided by Andyvee and there was a slight descriptive difference in channels, however the coding was accepted. When i came to activate light assist however (by pushing the stalk forward) I received a maxidot error "light assist error". Is this because I was stationary? I have now reverted all changes for the light assist to standard EDIT: I forgot to sya I'm using version 15.7.4. should I try again with one fo the newer betas? EDIT 2: I've just found this from Andyvee: Just to confirm, should I be ticking the box at the same time as changing the channel?

Canton sound system - the truth
octaviaconvert replied to norsko's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Having only had my car with canton a day, and only been in the car for an hour or so I think the canton is a good system, I'm still trying to tweak it but the sound quality is definitely dependant on music source. The only thing I would say is that it could probably do with having an "equaliser off" button like the harmon and pardon system in my land rover had to demonstrate just how much better over standard the sound actually was!! -
Octavia build dates for new orders
octaviaconvert replied to RB79's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Picked mine up today, she's great!! although is well in need of some software tweaks (auto start/stop off, sound generator off, ila on, traffic sign recognition on to name a few) oh and the beautifully clean look of the debugged rear has been ruined by whoever has removed the badges using a blunt instrument that has left tool marks very similar to those of a screwdriver on the boot. I'm waiting for a response from the dealer on that one!! -
That probably explains it. Someone has probably tried to copy the card

I've just had a look on the bluespark website. They don't actually have a product listed as available for the current vRS (184PS) and it appears that their vRS tuning box is for the CR170 engine in the MKII. Their price also seems a little too cheap at over £100 cheaper than the offerings from DTUK and TDI-Tuning
-
+1 from me, took my policy out today after you guys quoted over £1000 less than academy and adrian flux (and £300 less than the cheapest price comparison website quote)
-
Most people on here seem to go for DTUK tuning boxes although I have a tdi-tuning box which will be getting reprogrammed for my vRS in a few weeks. They are all in the same ball park price wise
