  1. How much does a remap cost? I own a 1.8 tsi.
  2. Thanks for the reply. I guess that makes sense. However, I suppose it would be nice to have this option to see your speed exactly...
  3. I have a 1.8 tsi which does not have maxi dot. I've noticed that when i'm driving the bottom display shows KMPH. Does anyone have an idea of how this can be changed to read MPH on the digital display, as KMPH is not much use on British Roads? Thanks...
  4. I have a 1.8 Tsi that was built earlier this year. I guess that this car is even more powerful. Great stuff I haven't driven it that quickly yet. However, its nice to know the power is there if I need it. I think its a great car / engine for the money...
  5. Thanks for that. I thought that was the case, but best to check. Thank you....
  6. I have a 1.8 tsi SE Estate. Can anyone give me some advice on dog guards for the Octavia Estate? The last time I looked they were about £100 from Skoda. Should I pay this much or is there a cheaper alternative which look / do the same? Also how do they attach? Are there any threads with photo's that I can take a look at?
  7. Just a quick question (I own a Octavia Estate 1.8 tsi SE) - I've fitted an ISOFIX base to the rear seat to allow us to put the rear facing baby seat in. I've had a look in the handbook and everything appears correct. However, can anyone advise if any airbags etc need to be switched off? I don't believe they do as the baby on the back seat facing backwards as per the handbook. Any advice???
  8. I took delivery of a 1.8 tsi Estate SE spec on 1st March 2010. I think its a great car family car. The space in the boot is enough for a large dog and the engine I went for is more than enough to keep me interested. I also think that Skoda offer great value for money compared to other cars on the market. The build quality is superb and would even say its as good as an Audi (badge snobs have lost out!!!!). I went for the rubber boot cover as our dog will be going in there at some point.
  9. Do all new Octavia's have this function? I have a 1.8 TSI on order. Thanks...
  10. Surely if you've got this written down somewhere the dealer should honour it or else you could threaten bad publicity or legal action...
  11. You learn something new each day. I am taking delivery of a 1.8 TSI in corrida red on 01032010. The colour really does look good. I guess i'll just have to make do with a red 'I'.
  12. I've not used a Bolero Stereo System yet. I would be interested to know your thoughts on the stereo system, good or bad. Thank you...
  13. Sounds a good choice. I take delivery of a 1.8 TSI SE Estate in March. I asked the dealer to keep it back for a March delivery. However, that was only a couple of weeks ago now. I ordered my car towards the end of Oct 2009. The build/delivery times do seem to drag on a little. I'm looking forward to it though!
  14. I am due to take ownership of a 1.8TSI Estate on 01/03/2010. I am aware of the fuel consumption figures in the book but would like to know what other owners are getting in terms of MPG. Also what is the best speed to drive to get the best MPG?? Thanks..
  15. Has anyone out there had Autoglym put on? If so, what do you think of this product?
