  1. Been runnung the BFI mounts for the past week, so far they are no less than awesome! No vibration at idle and the engine bearly moves, I also like the fact that you can renew them by just replacing the polyurethane bushes rather than replacing the entire mount. Heard good feedback on vwr as well but don't have first hand experience with them.
  2. Hi Sorry for bumping the old thread, just wanted people to know that I eventually got the THS mounts and that they lasted about 6 month before they broke. These are a joke and I can't recommend them to anyone, stay away from THS mounts. Got a new pair of BFI stage2 mounts, hope they hold. Cheers
  3. Yeah thanks. Unfortunately carbon box had to go as it was hitting the water hoses in the front. Hot a bcs box instead which does the job but doesn't look at nice.
  4. I can positively say the throttle body was the issue, Car runs perfect now.
  5. Yeah that would explian the cel but did you have the hesitation as well? Op what are the block 32 numbers like?
  6. Nothing yet but will post 100-200 kph results too when I'm done.
  7. Just got it upgraded a month ago, still tuning it but the aim is in the 500 dynapack whp area, same kit put down 490whp when my friend ran it on his audi. The only pic I have is of the kit but I'll take some photos soon and post, plan to open a thread about it when I'm done and dynoed
  8. Did you log the car? How high are you boosting? Log the car and see if your throttle is really opend all the way when you WOT. Also check if you have any misfires or timing retardation when you WOT.
  9. Looks like replacing the throttle body fixed the issue. I'll run it for a couple of days to make sure and post updates.
  10. Hi Same as advertised above, been running into an issue where the car is difficult to start warm or cold and stalls after hard acceleration. When it starts to judder just before it stalls I can see lambda correction in block 1 going to -25 meaning very rich, revving it a little fixes this and doesn't stall. Managed to dismiss the following by replacing parts and performing tests: N80 MAF Boost leaks Vacuum leaks Temp sensor Fueling No misfires My next step is to change my throttle body which is actually new with less than 10k on it. Any other tips would be extremely appreciated. Car is a 2007 vRS tfsi, GIAC-BCS TD05-20G kit (RS4 Injectors, IE Rods, autotech hpfp, RS6 lpfp) Thanks
  11. No I located it on the plastic pipe going up to the throttle. Im getting the cts turbo pipe soon and then plan to relocate.
  12. I run a mixed kit. Snow performance 2 stage boost based controller Labonte motorsport pump Devils own 2 gallon sumptank Reason for the mix is I was initially running a fancy labonte stage 3+ kit that was over elaborate and gave me a lot of trouble (but was insanely cool) and when the controller broke down for the 3rd time I kept the pump and just got a simple 2 stage controller, been trouble free ever since! The install setup you mentioned is the perfect way to do it.
  13. I have some suggestions on W/M if you want to hear from my experience: Don't be dazzled by the expensive kits, these are extremely difficult to setup and maintain and will rarely produce a better result in cars that use a wideband lambda. Get a simple stage 2 boost based kit, they work great and very easy to install and maintain. Don't install the tank in the engine compartment, while it does provide a clean look, it makes the kit less effective because the mixture gets worm. Make sure there is easy access to the tank and that it's easy to top up and measure how full it is. Install the nozzle as close as possible to your throttle body and again in an easily accessible place, nozzles need cleaning every 10,000 miles or so and installing them in an easily accessible place will slso help spot leaks if you ever encounter them (never happened to me but I heard stories) Install the pressure valve or solenoid as close as possible to the nozzle, this will prevent over-spraying when you stop boosting as there is still pressure in the pipes even when the pump stops. Use a 50/50 mixture in mass which means ~60% meth and ~40% water in volume. Use latex gloves when mixing the meth and water, that **** will make you blind if you are exposed to large quantities of it. Don't drink meth, it can kill you  My 2 shekels anyway
