  1. I'm slowly upgrading my stuff to all halfords pro stuff so was looking at these the other day, the spare set im giving to my brother as hes just started his first job as an apprentice.
  2. Hi guys Saw some one post the 120 peice socket set on here the other day, well thought would let you know about another deal on the 8 piece halfords advanced screwdriver set. These have been reduced from £15 to £7, once in checkout they are £6.30, the great thing is that due to the 2 for £20 deal, if you add 2 sets to the basket the total is still £6.30, just reserved mine and the misses is on the way get them. Hope this is the right section Enjoy http://www.halfords.com/motoring/garage-equipment/tool-kits/halfords-advanced-professional-8-piece-screwdriver-set
  3. Hi Guys Recently had my turbo replaced with a beach buggy item which is fitted with a 10Psi actuator, I am running the car with the N75 unplugged until i get the mapped changed, I was expecting to see 10psi on the boost gauge but I'm only seeing 2psi. The garage i had the turbo fitted at said that the car was boosting at 10psi and then a hose blew off, once they refitted it they didn't test drive again until i got in and then I mentioned it was only boosting to 2psi, they are no longer interested. Ive tried plugging in to VCDS but no codes are shown, Ive also disconnected the battery thinking it may be in limp mode but it didn't do anything. The map i have on is stage 2 from jabba and has an electronic boost controller that allows me to adjust from stock (8psi) to the 22psi it normally runs. if i plug the n75 i get the 8psi but this should still be more like 12-13psi due to the higher pressure actuator. The actuator was set up by Beach Buggys when they installed it on the new turbo so i believe this is ok, (not that i know enough about them to set it anyway). So it seems the turbo is running ok just not at any decent pressure. At the minute I'm thinking i could have a boost leak on the lower hose between charge pipe and pancake pipe as i can see a little oil on it and never been to sure about it, so this is the next part i need to look at but does anyone else have any different ideas what it could be? Thank you
  4. Hi guys Brought a new fmic only to find out that it's a 76mm deep one and it won't fit behind the crash bar without me cutting it. Has anyone managed to fit one this size behind without nodding the crash bar? Or what size do I need to fit behind the crash bar? 64mm? Thank you
  5. Hi guys Looking at getting a hybrid as my current ko3s is making the dreaded dentist drill sound and I prefer to update rather than fitting a standard. But funds won't allow to get the car mapped straight away. The car is currently stage 2 spiking at around 21-22 psi and settling off at around 18psi. Would a hybrid run ok on this setup until I can get the map changed? Or would it run too lean? Thank you

  9. I've just had mine changed. Didn't touch slave abd fitted the vr6 release bearing.
  10. Just been to collect the car. Haven't really had chance to test it only driving it hone but the pedal is very light and pick up is a lot better. There's no chatter at all. Think it might be more common on the diesels. I got the clutch from carpartsforless. Just selected the 2.8 golf mk3.
