  1. do they come in leather? can't see how it would match the rest of the car if not?
  2. reason i ask is i found this vrs on ebay and it has an arm rest; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2004-SKODA-OCTAVIA-RS-BLACK_W0QQitemZ220542227900QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutomobiles_UK?hash=item33595755bc
  3. do all octy vrs have an arm rest between drivers and passenger seats? or did they only put these on newer cars? cheers
  4. get your phone and text your car reg to 86300. it will text you back with for example; Skoda Octavia Vrs 1.8 VIN****1234 Sep 01 2 owners No colour changes No stolen record Not scrapped costs a couple of quid but will put your mind at rest
  5. i know this wont help but bro inlaw had a leon cupra r (which i believe have the same running gear?) with exactly the same problem. he changed everything but could never stop the knocking so he sold it
  6. looks like the rocker cover breather pipe. try and get a part number off it
  7. sounds like a faulty coil pack. had a car that would only misfire when the engine was under load but ran fine on tickover and that was a weak coil pack. the engine light only came on when under load aswell.
  8. i dont think he's cleared the original fault?
  9. hi all, ive found a octy vrs i'm interested in buying but the advert says the engine light is. it came on when 1 of the coil packs failed and hasn't gone out even though he's fixed the problem. he says the engine is running fine so could the fault just need clearing off the system? cheers
  10. take it back to the garage that did the brakes. binding could be that the sliders on the caliper are seized or even the piston. did you not ask the bloke who did the mot his opinion?
  11. try rapping it in cling film or a bag. electrical connection spray usually does the trick as it coats it in silicon
