Is it possible to check what options are fitted by reading the VIN number?

I currently have a 2020 Karoq Sportline 1.5 dsg which has the standard infotainment system ( Amundsen I believe ) I’m wondering if it is possible to upgrade to the latest 9.2” Columbus system? I realise it wont be cheap but as I intend keeping the car for a few years I would like to have this. Also, If anyone has any ideas where I could get this done I would much appreciate it. On a couple of occasions recently I have set off in my Karoq Sportline and received a message telling me to switch on lights. I always leave the light switch in the Auto position but for some reason I find the switch in the Off position. I know for a fact that I have not switched it off and as no one else uses the car makes no sense. Has anyone else come across this puzzle? Many Thanks

Yesterday I was checking my car as usual after locking it and discovered that the rear doors had not locked and there is no way to lock them. I contacted Škoda Assist who came out but were unable to help and have told me to take it into a dealer. Unfortunately they can’t look at it until the 18th which mens the car is unsecured until then. Are there any known issues with the central, locking on 2022 Karoq?

So, after 10 years of owing Skoda Superbs the time has come to downsize as I have now retired and no longer need such a large car. I can honestly say that in all those 10years I have only had one problem which was caused by the dealer performing a software upgrade which stopped the SOS button working and bringing up a warning on the display - not a major issue since I no longer travel great distances but still annoying. I considered the Octavia but as that is due for upgrade next year didn’t want to go with that now. I loved the Karoq but when adding the extras to bring it up to the same level as my Superb it was outside my budget. Ive finally chosen a Seat Ateca - basically the same car but the level of equipment as standard and with a healthy discount from CarWow brought it well in budget. So 2 weeks today I will say cheario to my Superb. Before I let her go can anyone tell me how to clear the entertainment system of all private data? - it is the latest 9.2” Columbus and I want to remove all navigation history as well as removing my phone book and stored music on the hard drive. I will still keep looking on this site as I’ve learnt quite a lot from being here. Thank You all😀👍

I am selling an almost new set of 4 - 18” Zenith Alloys complete with Pirelli Cinturato P7 tyres. wheels have only done just on 2000 miles and are in fabulous condition. Tyres all have a minimum of 7mm Tread. These were fitted to my 67 plate Superb by mistake and were not what I had ordered. I have purchased a new set of wheels so these need to go as I don’t have room for them. Asking £500 for the set. I am selling a Brand New set of 4 Anthracite 19” Sirius Alloys part no 3V0 071 499B HA7 on behalf of my late friends family. he bought them late Sept/ Early October 2017 they were approx £1500. unfortunately he suffered an extremely serious road accident just after they arrived and have sat in their boxes since. i have opened them to check for any damage and can confirm that they are all mint as they should be. i have advertised them on e-bay and other selling sites and so far have only had time wasters showing any interest making ridiculous offers of £400-£500. His family have asked me to arrange their sale and I have now reduced them to £750. They are currently being advertised at €300 each from Skoda - so quite a saving. they are currently at my house in Cambridgeshire and would prefer for them to be collected. Sorry i’ve Only just seen your message. - No unfortunately we were unable to arrange for their return in time and sadly he passed away so we could not access his computer to get all the information. i have advertised them on Gumtree and e-bay on behalf of his family - Obviously they would like as much as possible at this sad time. I have put them up for £950 ovno - which is a really good price but am getting stupid offers of around £400 - £500.

I have this particular model and absolutely love it. Dsg Gearbox is as smooth as silk and is a really comfortable ride. Have only covered just over 1000 miles but on checking my latest fuel consumption have used 3/4 tank and covered 500 miles. My main use is around town and so far the longest journey has been around 30 miles. This is my 2nd of these the first being a 2.0l 150ps diesel Manual and was getting in the order of 47-50 mpg again - mostly short journeys. When I took the 1.4 Petrol out on a test drive I was really surprised at its performance having had the diesel previously. I love the quietness of the Petrol model even though the diesel wasn’t really noisy there is still a difference. If you can get a test drive my advice is to go for it and I’d be surprised if you didn’t enjoy it. Hope this helps.
