Hey guys, Im going for the PD engine I've seen that the PD is a more reliable engine for high miles, i know it has more torque at low revs too, but tax is slight more costlier. PDs are bad engines are they ?

Oh I see, very helpful image and information guys thanks ! I want to go for the CR engine as I've heard from one of the guys on here whos had both and said he found the cr to be a lot smooth and linear in its power delivery.

The car will be in my dads name and he will be driving it to work and back putting 30 miles on it a day at least 5 days a week on the motorway. Only proper times i'll be using is for going up north on long runs and scooting round town.

After checking various insurance qoutes Ive managed to get insurance on the vrs tdi for £1750 with me as second driver fully comp, so i no im able to do it. Im going to do it for a year or so then put myself as main driver and build up NCB.

I haven't yet bought the car but was looking to purchase in august tim

Hmm im going to have a look into i got insured on my first car for 1300 on a vectra 1.8 sri 130bhp
