Technician @ Liverpool Skoda has told me and I quote " Regeneration will only take place if there is more than 11 litres of fuel in the tank " I will investigate this further and report back in a short while. :think:

I am running a set of 12 month old Lidl flat wiper blades very similar to the Bosch ones and reasonable price rather than going to halfrauds or stealers for genuine . £12.00 a pair if I am right.

In fact the mission L is a new breed but there is a new octy out modeled off the Audi A6 next year which is bigger and better and should come with high end spec that you only see in high line I think

I tend to stick to two now just shell and texaco but since using texaco I have noticed exhaust tip have become cleaner.(scratch head!) but have to admit been to supermarket outlets but only on the dregs in the tank only to put a fiver to get me to a shell . A lot can be psychological in my mind but used to run a 13 yr old 306 on shell and redex diesel and found mot soot test result come down by half over three years even my mechanic said it didn't sound like a John deer tractor like most do or smoke like an old chuffer. Each to their own but should put a poll on to see if the big two are winners. (BP , SHELL)

I have to agree with all you said, unfortunately there are the t£@@s who decide that your car is better than theirs so they decide to put a few go faster scratches on. My mate drives a superb and has said when we go for pub lunch about my parking!!! He calls it dad parking. In a secluded area of the car park you will find my car lol. Only thing is buy new trainers you will step in dog sh1! Sooner or later unless of course you never venture out. I too get vexed by all the dings and scrapes seeing as you mulled over spec , colour and engine size for considerable time. I ride a triumph motorcycle and god help anyone who touches it but I suppose it is a bug bearer when you have something nice some people have no consideration or are just plain jealous about what you have!

Just to throw a spanner in the works I prefer the newer estate style as the clear section appears as If it has two indicators in it unlike mine which only has the top section going amber. As far as the 2nd rear fog stick with it boys I'm sure you will crack it (I'm hoping you sort it as I am anxiously waiting)

Bit of a dodgy subject but would think if you can source a second hand squab I would try asking a dry cleaners to see if they can clean the fabric??? If you can get the covering off with damaging it and are confident in reattaching it ask your local dry cleaners for a quote should be a fair bit cheaper I suspect!.....goodluck

Which face lifts can activate 2nd rear fog as I would love to have that done on mine

You could always turn front fogs on via sidelights as it gives a better view of the road and least your not having to mess with finding dip on the switch

+1 For rain x , plus get the heko deflectors they do work plus look really stylish . Had the same problem in my old pug 306 when car was driven off with drivers window down used to get soaked

get yourself one of these Heko grill cover looks drastic but does work. They even do the cover for the lower part of the grill on the bumper

DECTANE I think they are.... but these are available with slight wiring adjustment.

Hi the answer to your question is reasonably simple. Looking at the lower grill left and right side should have a two covers that come off to gain access to the fog and drl unit. Using your fingers feel for a small cut out on each I think is under the first ledge down . Using the first three fingers put them inside the cut out and and lever down to get the top loose and then lever up to release the bottom. Whilst doing this try to pull down/up and towards you. Carefully do this as the tangs on the cover can snap. Once cover is off feel for a plastic clip just inside the bumper where the drl/fog is and press clip and push in an outwards fashion. Hooray unit should be free. Failing this guide go to owners handbook and read on bulb changing fog / drl Sorry little bit long winded but try to be as helpful as i can be as the pictures in book don't really help ; )

The only thing I can suggest is keep on with your dealership as they have a legal obligation to sort it,I know time is preciousand waiting for the car is mundane but we have all been there but I am sure the outcome will be sooner rather than later.

Thanks for that buddy defo given me something to think about justbeen told the dealership can sort mdi for £240 supplied and fitted aswell. I can see my car getting fitted out with some boys toys before the year is out.Lol

After reading your posts I can agree that this is somewhat tiresome, many years before I got my octy I had a Peugeot 306 with cold start problems, so I replaced the battery , no change. So then I decided to venture out and buy original beru glow plugs that were not cheap I hasten to add. After a two hour mess around and cleanup tried the car and she fired straight up. Failing it being that the only other thing it could be was either glow plug relay timer gone duff or the fuel sludging due to Subzero temps. If you decided to change the plugs inspect carefully for fouling or eroded tips as this would suggest dirty injectors. As someone mentioned I also use redex diesel and a tank of optimax shell diesel just to give her a kick up the ass. Good luck in finding the the answer ; )

What sort of price will the maxidot cost to supply and fit.Went into dealership to ask and they told me about eight hundred odd quid as the controller on my car would need to be changed to accept this plus steering wheel?????????? If it were reasonably cheap and someone in the north west has the skill would love to have one.

Not sure on this but obviously may not be e marked for euro market ????? still asking myself this as I thought it may be to do with the fog Lights or something

+ 1 would like to have mine fitted with this and tunnel assist lights aswell
