  1. Hi Thanks for all the advice. I have been this week for an Xray to check out my back- the doctor is questioning sciatica- something I would not have thought about without you guys. I have also placed an order for the Milotec back support. Thanks again - I will keep you informed.
  2. I have covered nearly 6000 miles in my monster with no major problems until recently- I now have to do much longer journeys - 50 miles plus. I am experiencing severe back ache along with a numbing of my right leg. I have tried very many set ups on both the seating height - the reach and angle of the wheel and also the lumber support. Unfortunately without success. I have now taken to using my wife's little Vauxhall Agilla for these longer trips - without discomfort !. I have full leather seating in my Yeti which is ultra comfortable when only doing 20 miles or so. Does anyone experience similar. The only minor relief I can get is if I sit on a cushion - not a high tec solution as it very easily slips from under me! Any advice as I am currently feeling as if I am turning into my Grandad
  3. Just come home from a family trip to West Wales - Two adults and two 12 year old boys. Sorry to say the boot space and inside storage is far far smaller than my last car which was a Renault Scenic. We all missed the handy storage spaces under your feet and the very Nintendo DS friendly drawers under the back seats. As much as I love the driving experience of my Monster it is not as flexible as a "regular mpv". Can anybody explain why the middle rear seat does not slide forwards to give extra boot space like the outer two do? It stops you putting a standard size suitcase lengthways down the boot. Again something I had taken for granted in my Scenic. Even with the middle seat in its tilt position extra space can only be successfully done if you remove the head rest. Then you have to find somewhere to store that!!! A rethink is needed on the flexability issue.
  4. [ I am waiting for this to happen - it looks a very useable modificaton to the rear door.
  5. My monster (140 tdi Elegance 4x4) has just clocked up its first 1000 and is doing 39 - 41 mpg.(average) recently on a long motorway run it hit 48 mpg which came as a pleasant surprise.I am hoping to end up around 43-45 when it is fully run in.
  6. Be careful with the mirrors - I caught my drivers mirror on the very edge as I reversed out of my garage and it "exploded " into a million pieces. The bottom casing which contains the indicator light is very fragile and as the Yeti is so new also very difficult to get replacement parts for. I have no idea of cost and funily enough neither does my dealer. He couldn't even find a part number. He had me piece together the pieces to find the number on the casing. Still waiting to get spare after 2 weeks. One sad monster!
  7. I have searched all areas within the options on my unit and have not found a way of changing it to MPH. My Skoda dealer hinted that there was a download in the pipeline to overcome this problem, but I have not read of anything in all the forums threads. This issue along with "strange happenings" to my headlights are the only things spoiling an otherwise excellent vehicle.
  8. Hi Picked up my new Yeti just before Christmas. Love it, but it is so complicated. I will need help!!! Number 1 Hi - can anyone help me - The read out on my dashboard on my Yeti Elegance 4x4 is showing the speed in Kmh - I cannot find the way to change it to Mph. On page 31 of the manual it says-- Second Speed - "here you can switch on the display of the second speed in mph or km/h." Sounds very easy, but I do not have this option on my display in the multi function indicator. This is very frustrating. I have spent hours trying to solve this. My local dealership are of no use - it is too new!! Thanks
