  1. Why plaster this with RS when they are not going to make a vRS? Mind you VW keep backtracking on the planned Polo R, I was over at the Wales Rally and if VW had had a stand there they'd have taken plenty of orders for an "R", followers of the rally scene are crying out for it. I don't know what I'm going to do when my Octy needs replacing next year, I don't really need a car as big as the Octy 3, a Rapid or Fabia vRS would be ideal, so option would be a Polo GTI, although I'm tempted by a Subaru BRZ too, now that it's cheaper than the Octy
  2. Hi, I'm in Walton, and work in Garston so I'll be on the dock road/Aigburth Rd most days - I'm the one with the "Isle of Man Road Races" banner on the back window :-)
  3. Was waiting for the Q4 deals, but a new vRS just coming in too expensive still. I'll just wait until the new year and see what's happening then. I'm still interested to see what the proposed VW Polo R is like, if it actually goes into production; and also looking at the Subaru BRZ which after the summer price decrease is cheaper than a vRS
  4. Been offered a cancelled order, exactly the spec I want and the trade in I've been offered for my current vRS is excellent, the only thing killing the deal at the moment is the interest rate on solutions - 7.2% - that is really bumping the repayments up, and I'm thinking I'll wait, anyone got any thoughts about when interest rates might become a bit more realistic?
  5. I was told of 2 Race Blues and 1 Candy White vRS's available (cancelled orders), but I'm holding out for a Meteor Grey, and certainly don't want all the options that the others have, don't need it until next spring so happy to wait to see what comes up and if nothing I'll put an order in at the end of the summer.
  6. Well it's not in the UK so presumably belongs in this bit. Off to the Isle of Man TT on Thursday 29th May until Sunday 8th June. Say hello if you see me, especially on the marshals convoy up the mountain on race days. Flying the Skoda flag (well Motorsport jacket) amongst a sea of motorbike leathers!
  7. Dealers won't give me a price on my current car as the part ex would be too far into the future, so we've agreed to put the plan on the back burner for now and he'll call me when the delivery times are a bit more acceptable. No probs really, I can wait. But surely it doesn't do good for Skoda to be basically turning away loyal customers.
  8. Cheers, some good advice there. Deffo want another vRS, but I can wait, only got the Blackline 18 months ago, but as I've moved workplace don't need the diesel now and want a petrol back, but not at any cost. I'll see what the figures come back as and decide then. As for the cancelled order, doubt it will come in at a decent price with all the options. Was told it was a customer order but he got fed up with the wait and has gone to another make
  9. Popped into Alex Lawrie today to look at a new vRS, being quoted 6 to 8 months delivery. They do have a cancelled order for a week 20 build but it's got £3,500 worth of extras on it, most of which I wouldn't want, I'll see how the figures work out but think I'll just wait for the one I want.
  10. Stupid censor in last post... What if your name is... Richard? It's like being ruled by a puritanical mercun sheriff in Alabama
  11. That looks boss. Very tempted. I should really keep the current car for another year... but... my office moves location in April, much nearer to home, so I won't need a diesel and a new petrol may start calling me I really like the Meteor Grey. I love Race Blue, my last car always got people looking, but since Skoda allowed every Tom, **** and Elegance to wear the colour it's lost it's exclusivity imo.
  12. Haven't seen you guys for ages but I'm doing some extra-curricular work at Tate on Sunday so won't be able to get to this one either. Hope all is well and hope to make it next month
