  1. It's not quite as pretty as the VW tracker with it's graphics, but it does the job! http://www.trackmyskoda.co.uk/
  2. So, they said it would be build week 12 - which according to my diary is next week; but tonight the website has gone from 'Build Date Confirmed' to 'In Transit From Factory to Germany Port'! Happy days! Time to get the Golf on Autotrader............
  3. We're on our second, both 1.2 SE's the only difference in spec is the colour. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/267629-evolution-of-the-species/
  4. More like they have a number of suppliers and it's whatever they have in stock when the car is built. Our first Yeti (1.2SE) had Dunlops SP01's fitted from new, our new Yeti (1.2SE) has Pirelli P Zero Rosso's. I've also seen 1.2 at the dealer with Goodyear's fitted.
  5. Congratulations! Our new 1.2SE has Pirelli's fitted and so far I prefer them to the Dunlops on the Yeti we traded in.
  6. Indeed if anything all the changes seem to add to the quality - better bump absorbtion and better door seals/reduced wind noise/dirt ingress etc. There's also an Audi R8 in the photo - I guess the owner had seen the light and traded up to a Yeti. There were rows of new Yetis parked out the back of the dealer waiting for their new owners and the Salesman said he had someone coming to test drive our old red Yeti on Monday.
  7. I did wonder if the new car was quieter or whether I was imagining it - but put it down to the different tyres.
  8. Thank you - the Wife's really happy with her choice of Candy White. We only paid an extra £1000 for the new Yeti compared to the '10 plate - exactly the same spec - and £400 of that is due to the higher rate of VAT. And 3 years free servicing certainly offsets a large chunk of the rest. As for the Octavia III, manufactuers tend not to offer discounts on brand new models - plus Audi are heavily discounting at the moment if my recent experience is anything to go by - I'm looking for something a little more 'sensible' with 4 seats - I can get an Audi TT with £1000 of 'essential' options for less than a Toyota GT86, that's a discount of £5000 on the TT.
  9. Collected the Wife’s new Yeti on Friday and I was intrigued to see what changes have been made over the last three years since the first Yeti. It’s all detail stuff, but there are some immediate differences, the first being that the rear seems more planted over sharp bumps and potholes, so I’m not sure if the spring rates or damper have changed or if it’s down to the tyres (the old car had Dunlops fitted, the new car has the Pirellis). The other obvious change is having to press the clutch to start the car and the gear knob design. Other little things are the protective film on the trailing edge of the rear doors, the re-profiled inner door aperture and the additional door seals fitted above the rear wheel arch and in between the doors. At the back the car now has a single oval tail pipe, which I kind of prefer to the twin pipes on the old car. The only cost cutting I can see is the deletion of carpet on the wheel arches in the boot. Hopefully the new car will follow on where the old car left off!
  10. Happy days, had a call from the dealer yesterday to choose the registration number and confirm the collection date next Friday. The Wife is very excited!
  11. The Wife's new Yeti has arrived at the docks in Grimsby. Hopefully that should mean we won't have to wait too long after the 1st to collect it!
  12. Evening, My Wife's replacing her 2010 1.2SE Corrida Red in March - 38,000 miles FSH etc. In fact her new car should be being built some time in the next week or so.

The fuel economy of my Wife's 1.2 depends on the type of journey (and who's driving!) - everyday A and B roads the Wife averages 42-44mpg; on the motorway that drops to around 40mpg. If I'm driving take 10% off those figures. Saying that, the best I've ever seen was 52mpg on a steady A road run in heavy traffic.
  14. Everything was covered under warranty - we didn't pay a thing. The dealers services was first class, they replaced the spark plugs as well as all the leads. We've got another Yeti on order, for delivery in March - just had the build date confirmed for the third week of January.
  15. Blimey, given the initial premium of the Greenline models and the extra cost of diesel over petrol that's quite surprising. My Wife averages 42-45 mpg in her 1.2TSI and recently just going with the flow of the traffic (A, B & suburban roads) I averaged 51.6mpg - albeit that's the highest I've seen and usually get nearer 40mpg (must be my heavier right foot!).
