Christ on a moped, that is appalling. I know it's hard to be philosophical (my own new car was rearended yesterday juat a week after I got her by some idiot doing 40mph on wet roads in a 30mph zone.) Luckily, my collider is insured and they have admitted full liability, but you're really having a **** time of it. I am so pleased that you both got out ok, let's hope that they are caught and that retribution visits them one day and takes away the cars/ homes/ whatever they've worked hard for. Things like this make me so angry.

Deal! We are trying to make time to get up there this year but my holiday's been eaten with visiting Belfast in August, 2 weeks to decorate the kids' rooms, and 2 weeks to entertain my American friend when she visits in November. If we make it, the beers are on me.

Yes, he did; flew all the way in from the States to be told Justin Hawkins had already done it and done it well. Cue hissy fit from Bono. Madness, really. It's never about 'supporting a cause' or 'making a difference'; it's always about PR, knock-on record sales and making yourself seem a nicer person than you really are. All the acts at the various gigs tomorrow will benefit from hugely increased sales in the next few weeks- it remains to be seen who will donate their profits to 'Make Bono History'... sorry, 'Poverty', clearly.
