  1. I shall do a further sniff investigation when it next does it.
  2. Diesel scout. It mainly does motorway driving to and from work so I didn't think the regen would beca problem. It's only from the back wheels and definitely smells like rubber.
  3. I have a 2010 Scout. Every now and again I notice a burning rubber smell coming from the rear tyres. Sometimes one side sometimes both. I am not doing any silly driving etc and wondered if anyone had any suggestions?
  4. Maxi dot - basically a "bells n whistles" trip computer. Has various mpg settings etc. I got it because it also lets you set tourist mode for your lights on the continent and can display a digital km/h display. Having paid for it I do recommend it. 4 spoke wheel - again you do not get any volume controls etc on the normal wheel. MDI lets you connect your ipod etc to the car and control it via the controls on wheel. I didnt get it because you get a line-in in the armrest anyway and thats good enough for me. I got the folding mirrors as a bonus because I wanted the electric seats as my wife and I both drive the car. Im 6'4" and she is 5'6" so the memory setting is great instead of messing about adjusting seat position, height, lumbar support etc.
  5. I have the CK3100 fitted. It works great. Mutes radio etc. I also have it set up for voice dialling and it works a treat. I have set it so that I touch one button to activate the voice dial and then speak the name and it dials for me etc.
  6. I got my scout last week. The options I chose were the spare wheel - no brainer in my opinion. Doesn't spoil the boot space at all. I didn't get the variable boot floor as I have a dog and a boot liner. I would have to remove the liner everytime to access it. I also got the memory seat option as both my wife and I drive and I'm 6"4 and she isn't. You also get nice heated electric mirrors with this as well. I got the mf wheel and maxi dot as I like volume controls etc on wheel and maxi gives some nice options such as tourist mode for driving in Europe. I got a parrot fitted instead of bluetooth because of iPhone compatibility and finally I went for the xenon lights. Purely a luxury! But I love em! Fab car. Get one you will love it.
  7. I ordered my scout on 15th Jan. It arrived at the dealers yesterday. Just been to see it and it looks superb. Can't have it until next Wednesday though due to bank holiday etc !
  8. Just called my dealer - Derek Slack in Middlesbrough - my car is built and sat at the docks in Germany. Ordered a 2.0 Tdi Scout on 15/1/10 and was told several weeks ago that it should be built on 19/3. About 3 weeks to go I suspect.
