Keep getting this code every couple of weeks, have changed jobs so I now do mainly motorway miles upwards of 1500 a week. Easy to clear code. I do get the chance to regen the filter, is this what it needs every other week. P. S it's a 2015 model 1.6 tdi

Got a call from main dealer to say this update was required, booked it in and the info was 90k1 software. Any clue has too what it involves. Car runs to well for them to screw it up.

to all, went there today, cant fault the service, they replaced all the led in cluster its now like being in blackpool with the lights on. took about a hr and half to do with me taking the cluster out. 15 min job that just need some torx tools and a small blade to release the top clips. you get a warranty on the repair and a full receipt . all for £150.00 just a word of warning, when you take the cluster out , make sure the key is NOT in the ignition, mine was and when i reconnected the cluster the airbag warning light would not go out , fixed at local garage who do the servicing. airbag was telling the car i had no dashboard in?. all well now

off there tomorrow, to get leds fixed and will be parting with £150.00 all in and me taking the cluster out , (40.00 for them to take out) will post how i get on.

mines just kicked in with glow plug light,and showing code 0403 egr etc, this is on a taxi thats a mix of town and motorway miles, cars does 1000 odd miles each week, going to local garage ,that does all the services,mot etc. not looking forward to the bill

mine was caliper sliding pins having lack of grease,on the rear trw calipers. regreased and the rattle was gone, now driven 200 plus miles and it has,nt returned.

i did my intercooler clean today,so took the short cut of removing the washer bottle and wheel liner only, ok you need to work the bugger out the hard way,but it does save taking the headlight/bumber out. sorry didnt do pics as hands was covered in oil,and all the crap from the wheel arch. a couple of hrs will get it done. mine had the spring type clips that just needed lifting clear of the connecting pipes.everything can be got at with just the washer bottle removed.

stick a single in and end of problems,mine as a single in and drives fine,so far put 70k on the car in two yrs as a taxi. cost of the single was £600 fitted.not by dealer but a trusted local garage.

had mine done in september this year,if you go/went for the single you wont tell the difference. they both drive the same,only the single was half the cost, you will find that its best to change both. p.s i drive a cab round the forest and have so far clocked over 8k miles on a single and not missed a beat.

mine did that,so slowed the gear change speed,dont race up or down the gears, then it got worse over a month so put it in the garage to check it out found the thrust bearing sticking on the shaft. so whipped the gearbox out last week,put in single flywheel,new clutch,all now ok even silky smooth change.

I brought a octavia 1.9 tdi in feb with a axa warrenty,that to be honest,aint worth the paper. just last week it had a new single flywheel,and clutch at 87k miles,and a bill for £628.00 warrenty wont touch it cause its wear &tear? mind i have put 21k on it since mid feb.
