  1. Btw, ditch the UK power plug adapter, extra weight, extra posting! Plus it's useless for me.
  2. If its unlocked and your willing to post it signed for (registered) to Athens, and posting is not more than 15 pounds, I'll take it.
  3. Do you still have the iPhone?
  4. This also came out of my 2010 Octy Scout when replaced it with the Culumbus. This one is will fit with the Swing System and the climatronic AC. If any one wants its for 25 pounds let me know. Registered posting from Greece is about 10-12 pounds.
  5. This just came out of my 2010 Octy Scout, it was replaced with a cruise control stalk. So basically it's useless to me. If any one wants its for 15 pounds let me know. Registered posting from Greece is about 10-12 pounds.
  6. Thank you both for your replies. I dont have VAG-COM so i go the garage and use the dude's laptop. I enabled what you can see on the pic, which should have done the trick. How do I find out what abs unit I have? I remember the mechanic enabled TPMS in to other places. I'll probably drive to the garage next monday, which is by my work, but i commute daily. Though i will keep you posted. Meanwhile if anyone thinks some thing please let me know. link to pic https://www.dropbox.com/s/40jzzmck20ktg9m/photo.JPG
  7. Quick question, and not an easy solution, from what it seems so far. I bought the TPMS switch and hiring from a well known and trusted site that sells Skoda OEM parts, went to a VW-Audi garage to install the kit, wiring looks to be connected correctly from VAG-Group wiring diagrams for the specific car. Outcome garage said that it does not work cause the has ABS modules that did not support TPMS. It's a 2010 FL Octavia Scout, is it possible that the coding is wrong? Would Skoda change ABS sensor on an option that was only 40 euro extra to get it preordered on the car? If its only coding can someone please send me the coding, cause through VAG-COM it looks like you can register the TPMS in 4-5 different places.
  8. Just received mine today from skodateile i will be fitting it next week. I will let you know.

  10. great so the the mechanics drink the rest 0.5/0.6 with their morning coffee. Though that's still a all of oil consumption for 2000kms in 90 days
  11. and by you saying that, your suggesting that the engine only takes up to 4 litres? It's going to be an interesting day tomorrow at skoda service! Though need to check the manual make sure it states 4 litres. thanx for the heads-up!
  12. If any of the above oil consumption I've so far in this topic was happening to me, I would be more than happy! I have a 1.8TSI scout with 32,000km on the clock, bought new in Feb 2010, serviced it 90 days at 30,000km, service invoice states they added 5 liters of oil. This morning the "check oil level" message appeared. Ignored until i got to work 20Km down the road. Turned the engine off, checked the oil level after about 30mins, and not even a drop of oil was in the engine. Any suggestions what might be causing this?
  13. Thank you for the link, hopefully I'll get them before the so called recession and company merges effect me! It's coming my way, I see it!
  14. Upgraded the FW to 268x Problem solved seems like v6 maps work better with this FW 2684 rather then 1104.
  15. Could not find something similar so I starting a new topic! Yesterday I observed that the GPS with v6 maps is almost 100 meters behind the actual spot I am. At a straight street I am at intersection B and on the navi I am at intersection A 100 meters back. Although the voice guidance seems to be correct as where to turn. As I turn the car icon on the Navi quickly changes to the correct spot but then again falls behind. Also lovely lady in the Navi told me to turn left on a straight road and where there no left turns on the route. Tired it many times with the GPS info on the screen to make sure that it was happening with 2D and 3D fix, even with 8 satellites connected its still off.
  16. Does anyone have any contact email for OESunshades, I tried the email they have on the on the site http://www.dpict.co.uk/web/oesunshades/contact-us.htm and I get a reply no such email address from there server. Or any other site I can buy them from. thanx
  17. Have done 1000km so far. Engine sounds little noisy a bit of a mix of petrol diesel. Is it normal? Does it get quitter?
  18. This morning, it seems that the error after 3 minutes of driving has disappeared. No more vehicle status on the maxidot, for the moment dont know if it will appear again in the afternoon when I'll start up the car again. MFSW works, all bottons! Though should I be getting a Navi menu in the maxidot? Does this mean that it needs recoding? Also reading couple of other threads here, some people with AUX in-put in the jumbo box had to reverse the ground wire from AUX to CD cause it was causing static noise. This was not the case in my situation. Everything was plug and play, remove facial plate and head unit install gps receiver, new head unit and new facial plate.
  19. Great job! Looks great! I am looking into making the same mod. Though I am between getting the W8 light or the rear view mirror of a Touareg which I read it's plug and play! Does the touareg rear view mirror require wiring also? At the moment I have the auto dimming rear view mirror. any ideas?
  20. Hello, Just got my car a week ago. (still have not found the time to post some pix) Octavia Scout Facelift. Also got a columbus headunit from flea bay. Followed all instructions here how to fit it, the installation went great. Though I start up the car and I am getting an ESP fault on the maxidot. Any thoughts anyone? Have I ruined something?
  21. <br><br><br>In Greece both on the Yeti and the Scout come with full size spare wheel. Comparing the two, there must be a flaw in the design. Both cars have the same 4x4 system. Haldex 4th gen, and from what I could see at the dealers the rear diff looks to be the same size. <br><br>Road assistance companies either personal contract or through the dealer, here are required to come change, fix or tow your car to safety. <br>It makes no sense to pay for road assistance and having them decline your request if your car does not have a spare. <br>And if so, what do people do that have convertible cars which even a space saver spare wheel is not an option?<br><br><br>Though on the Yeti it seems that the boot size has decrease alot. The boot floor is at the same level with the bottom part of the boot door (i hope i am making sense describing it). When removing, folding, the rear seats you can see how much the floor has raisen. Even pulling forword the rear seats, you can see that a step has been created from the spare wheel creating a space that is useless in loading the car. Which leaves the Yeti with a disappointing boot size. <br><br>On the other hand the Scout also comes with a full size wheel and the boot floor remains the same. The wheel is fitted under the floor. <br><br><br>So considering that both cars have the same engine 1.8 TSI (diesels are not allowed in Athens, apart from taxis and if you are a resident outside of Athens) the same 4x4 system on it, roughly the same length, and the min of 3000 euros price difference, I obviously went for the Scout. More boot size for less money. And I think it's a better looking car.<br> <br>And I am still waiting for the car, its 2 weeks over due <img src="http://briskoda.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0101-sadsmile.gif" class="bbc_emoticon" alt=":(">
  22. Thats what I did with my previous Alfa 147 120 hp and it sounded like a diesel every time I started it up, until it was warmed up!
