  1. I got a great deal from Lings earlier in the year.
  2. I think with most modern cars its the (huge) mirrors. BMW's suffer from this as well.
  3. Variant: VRS Engine: Petrol Transmission: Manual Hatch or Estate: Hatch Colour: Black Extras: Um, fluffy dice. Mods to date: its a lease so there wont be any :/
  4. I wanted race blue but went for black as in my line of work I ddint want something too obvious. Its less than a week old and its already filthy so its going to be hard work keeping it at its best. I do like the grey. I had a BMW 330i in "sprakling graphite" which is very similar.
  5. Not creating them on a Mac by any chance? Im having the same issue but I think its to do with the format the Mac is creating them in. The Disk Utility refuses to format them in FAT.
  6. Judging by the plate its being driven from Carlisle to London. So I have a feeling he might not be so keen to turn around straight away!
  7. Today my new Octavia VRS TFSI will be delivered. I am patiently waiting, occassionally looking out the window forlornly. Shall we have a sweepstake on what time it arrives? Delivery guys seem to love that 4.59pm delivery time when you wait in all day.
  8. has not set their status

  9. I ordered a VRS just before christmas and Im still waiting. The most annoying thing is the car was ready on 1st March and the dealer/lease company was supposed to get the car to me when I got back from holiday. I got back 10 days ago and still dont have a delivery date :(
  10. I dont have one but I think there are apps that give you more options like turning on with ignition. Theres a list on this site http://home.comcast.net/~spheasant1/3rd_party.html I'm the same as you. Taking it in and out of the car is a pain. I used to have a 1 Series BMW and you can buy a replacement for the storage compartment that lets you mount a nav unit and run the power cables up the back of the radio.
  11. Thanks. Its one of the largest ones out there. Might have to look at a small tomtom or similar when the car arrives.
  12. Ive got a Garmin 1490 and will shortly be getting a new VRS. It looks like the VRS has a storage compartment on top of the dash (true? I havent been able to find a decent image). If so would I would like to attempt to rig up something where the nav "appears" when I open the lid. Could someone give me an idea of how large the opening is? Has anyone else done something similar with portable nav units?
  13. I think you are being slightly hopeful on the value of the Punto. A quick look on Autotrader and there are cars retailing for around £7500. You should still have some equity in it though. At the end of the day its about the total deal. The PX value of your car. The price of the VRS The cost of the finance. Its going to take some legwork on your part to get the deal youre happy with.
