VAG 170 PS Diesel Injector Failures - VOSA action
stuart1350 replied to jfarhead's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
To be honest I cant feel any difference. They were only replaced as a precaution but were working perfectly well. On a side note the electronic stability control light has now come on so there's a big bill for the ABS module :os -

Can I be added too please? 07 Octavia VRS pd 170. Cheers Stu. -
Just an update guys, went to main dealer in Oxford and they had to de-gunge the throttle body and breather pipes, replace a faulty sensor and hey presto the DPF regenerated!! Cost me £269 which was a lot better than the £1150 I was quoted for a new DPF.

Jewsons of Oxford just quoted me £450 all in for a cambelt kit plus labour and vat. They recommend changing the water pump only if there is signs of deterioration, if it needs to be changed they only charge for the price of the part and not labour.

Hey guys. I've a 72,000 mile 07 plate Octavia VRS PD Diesel, apparently the particulate filter is screwed. I'm waiting on a response from Skoda in that I dont think this part should have failed within 3 years but my query is if I can bypass this fault cheaply? Can I get a new part of the exhaust to bypass this eg performance exhaust? Cheers Stu

Hi there. The missus has a 99 Octavia TDI and the clocks have died on her (no speedo or rev but everything else working). So I thought the easiest ( ie cheapest) option would be to get a set of clocks off ebay and replace them. So 20 quid later I've a set off a 2001 TDI which fitted no problem......except immobilizer is now on. Does anyone know someone in the Oxford area that can clear the clocks or reset them so that the immobilizer doesnt come on???? Cheers, Stu
