  1. You are quite easily able to lose an entire afternoon doing just that, always good for a laugh.
  2. Not HD though, but sky +, sounds much like yours, either sticking, or poor recording, pull the plug leave it for 2 or 3 minutes and reconnect usually fixes the problem. Happens once a month or so. Seems to progressively get worse over a week or so till it gets completely stuck. Only time it stopped working completely was when the signal splitter on the dish gave up. But that was diagnosed quite quickly, no signal what so ever.
  3. My view is they are completely wrong. It is a war, both sides are to blame, but the children and civilians killed and maimed are the the people suffering. Broadcasting an appeal for aid is not endorsing one side or another, it is trying to help fellow human beings in need, simple as that. Showing the same or similar images during the appeal, only shows what has been happening, nothing more, nothing less. It is almost ironic that the very fact they are refusing, is doing more to publicise the appeal than anything else. That must really burn Mr Thompson's butt. Well done to Tony Benn for tell the BBC it fortune. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=E21MdXe3BOQ
  4. What a tool, Darwin needs to step in and release this idiot from the servitude of breathing, someone that idiotic is not fit to be called a member of the human race.
  5. Those bollards are a menace, have a school nearby that has them, in the last 6 months, 4 cars have had their sumps ripped open, bodywork damaged because of them. Like to have been a fly on the wall when he explained that one to the boss.
  6. The driver certainly knew the road well, and could handle the Corsa, fair play to him, although pushing the bikes the way he did was not clever, no safety margin at all, one thing goes wrong and someone is dead. The Porsche had the right idea, let him go. Hectic video though. Was waiting for the almost inevitable schreech and bang.
  7. This is a topic which drives me nuts, the UK has a new classification called the "parasite class", those who sponge off the state without giving anything back or even having held a job, probably for 2 or 3 generations. being on benefits is safety net, not a life style choice ! Half the problem is it is paid in hard cash, which is great for holidays, cigarettes, booze etc. food stamps, direct payment to landlords etc. sounds a great idea to me, you want anything else..... get off your fat, lazy posterior, close your gobby mouth and get a job. It is like evolution turned on its head, the productive in society limit their number of children to what they can afford, but the unproductive parasites are encouraged to have 5, 6, 7 kids as it means more money in the pockets. Survival of the fittest, nope, survival of laziest by the looks of it.:confused:
  8. The worry is those PFI deals run into 25 / 30 / 50 years, so our children will still be burden with it when we are pushing up daisies. Never mind the INSANELY HUGE borrowing to shore up the banks which were allowed to act irresponsibly due to regulations and structures put there by Labour, Socialise loses, privatise profits seems to be the motto. B-Lair and Gordo are the men to blame for this. Besides him taking the UK into a illegal war, the economic mess he and Gordo left behind will take decades to repair and the laws that have been passed by Labour are a travesty, the UK is looking more like totalitarian state than ever, detention without charge, stop and search without probable cause, politicisation of the police, anti terrorist legislation being used that would do Stalin justice. B-Lair used fear to control the populace, fear of crime, fear of terrorism, fear of the WMD "45 minute" fairy story, the greatest thing to fear was the politicians in power. I find it hard to believe ANYONE would even consider voting for Labour. Cameron and Osbourne are a joke, Cameron is a light weight with no substantial policies and a slick PR machine, much like B-Lair. Lib Dems would have made a lot more headway if Vince Cable had taken the leadership, not Mr anonymous Nick Clegg. Cable called the finance disaster right going back to 2002, the party voted against the invasion of Iraq, which wins them a big + in my book. but they seem to have a lunatic ultra left / green / munge bean eating / sandal wearing / tree hugging fringe which does the party more harm than good.
  9. Another gem from the government ! Easier just to "chip" people and be done with it, then "big brother" can track you wherever you are.Problem solved.
  10. Lets look at it from the countries inhabitants perspective, the end of discrimination and oppression, the right to self determination, the right to benefit from from your own countries resources, fighting a war to achieve this......... sounds a lot like when the nazi's where invited to leave France, Belgium etc. WW11 was important to Britain, but so is independence to its ex colonies. Britain was a recipient of aid from the USA, it was an American plan, with American money, so what bearing that has on this argument I do not know.
  11. I agree about the control of borders, that is a states sovereign right, but the UK is not a true sovereign state any more, it is merely a province of the united states of Europe. The UK immigration policy is subservient to Brussels, and has no control over immigration from Europe, which is where the greatest problem lies. Once the UK is able to control its own immigration policy then proper control is possible.
  12. By the same argument, so there were some survivors of the holocaust, its okay then ?
  13. Britain expected Germany to pay reparations for WW1 and WW11, perhaps the same argument can be used for "the British empire" ? Britain made use of concentration camps in Southern Africa so perhaps war crimes is another possibility to, although letting Kitchener loose in WW1 was probably a worse outcome anyway.
  14. Cowards ? because they want a better life for themselves and their children ? After their own country was raped for 150 years by British Imperialism and the dictator who is destroying the country, was installed by the then British government. Interesting perspective. You have generations of workshy slackers who have never worked a day in their lives, but a person who is willing to learn at his own expenses, contribute to society, must be sent home, to a country which owes a big chunk of its problems thanks to the legacy of British imperialism. Britain exported its own immigrants for decades, all over the world, even against their will. The most sickening of which was the orphans still been sent to Australia in the 60's. Lucky those countries never took your view.
  15. Yup that is Regain, guys with heart disease were taking the treatment and ending up looking like chewbacca, hence the connection.
