Monte Carlo cost + DPF delete
Friggerpants replied to Friggerpants's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Woah woah! In jus saying what the price was online! I wouldn't pay that! I'd be pushing for quite a good discount...... Remap wasn't for power, just for efficieny and making dpf delete work. I'd happily buy a 2nd hand one, but can't find one with electric window, satnav, dab, msfw and xruise! -
Hi guys, been looking at Monte Carlos for a while (Brand new, loaded with all options), and I'm looking at around £18k for one. What kinda deals did you get on yours when you bought brand new? I want to be armed with other peoples offers when bartering in show room. I'd be looking to keep car for 4-5 years. Also, how strict are they on warranty? I'd potentially look at taking DPF and remapping straight away, but don't want to invalidate warranty (Or would they just say the exhaust and ECU are now not covered as they're moddeD?)

How about a blue Megane mk 3, with 17" Renault Alloys, 1.5dci, 86bhp, with Cruise control, 55k on the clock 59plate, and cash from you/?

I don't get it. Why are you bragging about what you get? Is this a p1ssing contest?

Lothian & Borders Police Force - Fitness test
Friggerpants replied to kiddy1's topic in The Roadside Hotel
From a runner: First off.......Are you sure it's shin splints? A lot of people (Wrongfly) diagnose themselves with shin splints, when really, it's not that at all! How do you warm up for a run, and how do you stretch out? How much time can you dedicate to running per week? How long you got? Time yoursefl accurately over a mile and a half (If possible a HR monitor too) and report back with all inforamtion about it. How legs feel etc. I can write you up a training plan knowing the three points above, that should be fine. Weight isn't an issue as such, that'll drop off with correct training in no time. It all depends how much you want it. If you're gonna say "Oh it's a losing battle", then maybe you're not cut out for it. I'll do 1.5 mile (On track granted) in around 7-7:30 minutes. (Based on a 1500m time of 4:18, and a 3000m of 8:36) -

£300! -
I put down the deposit to our house, and to protect it, got a "Declaration of trust" document written at the solictiors. Cost £250, however in event of a split, we'd split the equity evenly, after giving me the deposit back. Might be worth looking itnto.

A1342 Macbook Late 2010 (Last of the unibodies.)
Friggerpants posted a topic in Non Automotive Items
This model is configured with a 45 nm "Penryn" 2.26 GHz Intel "Core 2 Duo" processor (P7550) -- with two independent processor "cores" on a single silicon chip -- a 3 MB shared "on chip" level 2 cache, a 1066 MHz frontside bus, 2 GB of 1066 MHz DDR3 SDRAM (PC3-8500) installed in pairs (two 1 GB modules), a 250 GB Serial ATA (5400 RPM) hard drive, and an 8X DL "SuperDrive". It also features a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M "graphics processor with 256 MB of SDRAM shared with main memory" and a 13.3" widescreen TFT active-matrix LED-backlit "glossy" display (1280x800 native resolution). - Copied from some descritpion on internet. It has a Samsung 320GB hdd, as the 250 failed a year a go. Light scratches to casing, nothing to screen. All pixels on screen are good, battery life is brilliant still. Comes with latest OSX and MS Office suite. Comes with Original box/cables and a black sleeve I bought for it. £350 posted to your door. -

Friggerpants replied to Friggerpants's topic in Parts For Sale
For some reason, I've just seen this. Here's my PM reply "Guarantee they are brand new.... Smell them, and see if they smell like brake fluid/cleaning fluid!! I bought them in 2011, from autosports @ NEC, but lost them in my garage overhaul.....bought new ones and fitted to car. Found them when emptying garage two weeks ago, so they're gonna have surface rust/may need a wipe down. CHeck my feedback on here or my eBay feedback http://feedback.ebay...tab=AllFeedback I don't lie/rip people off. However as a good will gesture, if you truly do NOT believe me. I'll give you 20% back." He never replied back after that. Prehaps he realsied he was wrong? He's definitely been on PMs since then. Hope this douesn't ruin an otherwise perfect record...... -

Castle Combe Summer Action Day 8th Sept 2012! Brisky stand & track!
Friggerpants replied to devonutopia's topic in South West
Unfortnatley, due to the delays, my missus couldn't get on track, at the correct time for the session......We got queing @ 3pm, by 4 still waiting, and then there was another session then a drift session. Unfortunatley we had to leave, as we had to get back to Derbyshire for pre arranged meal! Sorry we couldn't come on with you :-( -
Look for a document called "A declaration olf trust" Like a prenup. Pretty much if you sold that house, you'd get back your deposit, she'd get hers back, and you'd split the capital left 50/50.

I did an apprenticeship. Went at 18, Just under £4 an hour. Struggled like anything, got another job for the night time to pay for stuff. However I stuck it out. I;ve been there 5 years now, I'm 23 with on enough money to afford mortgage on a house, a pretty decent car, with an apprentiscehip in Engineering, and this time next year, I'll have finished my (company paid for) degree too. My advice to D15VRS's son. Think long term. Not short term. (If he's over 21/living on own, I'm 99% sure the min wage for an apprentice is slightly higher)
