  1. Hi all ive not posted on here for a while due to the sale of the fab. Decided to get the equity back for a mortgage deposit before i lost too much money on it. I will still keep an eye on the forum and have to say it was an awesome car and very easy to drive fast. But as i live very close to work now and cycle most days the lure of a classic car has caught me and so i bought this Good luck with everyones projects and hope to buy another one in the future as a bit of a project
  2. Finnally had time to take off my coilovers off Here are a couple of pictures
  3. Confide has 18" wheels on his vrs as well i personally think there a little too big to be practical but they do look good. I do agree 19 would be way too big to be useful unless they were really thin. Cant see it helping the handling either. It would be something different though and be interesting to see how it sits on 19s
  4. The wheels will fit mk1 and mk2 everything else is for a mk2 vrs im not sure when they started making the mk2 vrs but they made mk2 fabias from 2007 onwards so it will fit
  5. These are 8" wide 17" diameter ET32 and there is plenty of clearance available and mine is pretty low as im selling my car these wheels are for sale if your interested
  6. I could probably straighten it up but its not 100% neccersary and would probably end up snapping it
  7. You would also need new bolts as im using the standard 28mm ones atm
  8. There is a shoulder on the strut that rests on top of the hub which is where it should be. The bracket you can see there was pushed upwards and bent out of shape went the jack went down.
  9. On behalf of my dad im posting his old fabia up for sale its a 1.4 mpi fabia with 101732 miles on the clock it currently has an mot but will run out fairly soon. It has done barely any miles since its last mot we only put the mot on it to part ex for his new greenline but when they told hime they would only give him £300 we decided to keep it. Its had a hardish life and isnt perfect as you can see by the pictures. list of things to do engine runs fine could probably do with a new battery but i can sort that out if need be the alternator bearing could do with replacing as its a bit noisey. otherwise the engine is strong and has had regular oil changes. also power steering isnt perfect we were quoted about £100 for a recon box but didnt come up on the mot to sweeten the deal included in the sale is a set of thule roof bars and a collapsible roof box weve lost the keys to the roof bars currently so cant take them off and a thule boot mounted bike rack both items pretty pricey on there own. could do with money spending on it but looking at other fabias of its age and mileage with everything on it im putting a price of £400 ono dont be afraid to ask Pm me or email me at [email protected]
  10. Ive just stuck my head under the car to have a look and have to say i thought the damage was worse than it is lol but heres the pics of the damage to the coilover srut its the drivers side front strut all the others are as they came out of the box just a bit dirtier i will clean them up and can supply some grease for the threads if need be there not the clearest pictures but anyone who knows what there looking at will see whats wrong. ive been driving them like this for a while now and have had no problems no noises or knocking so there a bit of a bargain really
  11. Brake clearance is tight on the vrs and you will need the 5mm spacers but they will be included in the sale i really wont accept lower than £350 collected for them as i would quite like to keep them pics to follow. No pics of the coilovers or intercooler yet as i havent taken them off the shot above is about as good as i can get of the intercooler
  12. Im not sure but it is a fair bit bigger im waiting for an email from forge about specs
  13. I will be taking everything off next weekend. So its all up for grabs as of then Collection preffered as its all pretty bulky but can sort out courier if need be at extra cost I live in burton upon trent just off the A38 south of derby de150pb
