Another thank you from me. My local Skoda Dealer did not have a clue.They stated it that it was a coding issue, and needed the car in for checking!. Briskodians to the rescue again. Problem solved in 10 seconds LOL

I had a Suberp Combi in Storm Blue, exchanged it this March for a Candy White one. Quite simply I love it. I have had so many comments on how good it looks. Suprisingly it does't show the dirt as much as the Storm blue. Prior to delivery I had the Thermisto Alloys powder coated in Anthracite and the Calipers painted red. With the privacy Glass and Panoramic Roof it looks really nice. I have now done 13000 miles in it and I am really happy.

I live in Wales but work near Leamington Spa. Unfortunately I had a major problem with my previous Superb, due to an ECU failure. I have found them to be very efficient and knowledgable of the car and its electrical systems. They kept me informed on the progress of the repair. Since then I have had my Superbs serviced there and will continue to do so. I have a special commendation for Rob who works on Service Reception. He has proven to be efficient, caring and friendly. I feel their New Car Sales Department was less efficient for when I requested they quote me for a replacement Combi fully loaded of accessories. They didnt bother so the sale went elsewhere

Had it checked out today. As you suggested a failed sensor. Replacement on order and to be sprayed to match the paintwork. Arbury are really efficient and very customer focussed

Has anyone had problems with the rear Parking Sensors? When I select reverse I get a 3 second warning tone and on the Columbus Display it is flagged up Optical Parking System is not available at present. Anyone experienced this? Booked in to Arbury Skoda for investigation/repair

Ah! That sort of damage lol. £40 each.........and they looked stunning afterwards. Even had a couple of people asking where I got them.

Slight kerb marks in general. One gouge on one of the spokes but that did not affect the integrity of the rim.

I bought a set of second hand Thermistos on EBay last December for £250. A little tatty but had them chemically stripped and the odd kerb mark taken out or filled, then heavy duty powder coated. Now fitted with Avon Ice Touring tyres.

After reading the above post I sent off for a pair. Fitted them yesterday and they worked first time. Easier to remove the access panels and unclip the light units 10 minutes and all done. Superb Estate 170 dsg with extras Model year 2012

From what I understand the new ECUs have software protection on them and they are unable to circumvent that without accessing the ECU itself. My first Superb 2 was able to be done via the OBD port, later ones have to have them physically removed from the car to access the ECU circuit board. Removal of the unit entails having the security bolts drilled out. Reassembly entails new waterproof sealing on the case and refitting to the vehicle with new security bolts. I decided not to have my last two modified. Can someone now say that this is not currently the case.

I purchased a set of second hand Thermisto Rims, had them Powder Coated. I have had Avon Ice Touring ST tyres fitted. Drives very well with them and they seem to ride over the pot holes better than the Continentals. They clear water very well and feel very positive on the road. I had the same problem after I has some recoding of the system. A five minute vist to the Dealer sorted it :yes:

If it gets like that on mine I find unscented wet wipes do the trick. Ocassionally I do put some leather cleaner on it to maintain it.
