  1. Ki, do you still have the diagnostics for a Fabia 1. I have one in Radcliffe and wondered if you could come and check it out for me please. I wiil gladly pay for your time .Thanks in advance Mick

  2. @toot Well not sure if you still interested but looks like the issue is down to the Front left wheel hub. After more logging, it seems the ABS Wheel sensor detects a drop in km/hr down to 30 km/hr even if the rest of the wheel sensors are showing more. I ended up replacing the sensor and it reduced the strange drop to 15 km/hr. Gear changes are far better and it shifts smoothly from 1-4 and 5-6. However on the motorway DSG refuses to go into 7 and even after changing it manually it comes down to 6th 🙄 So the next step am considering changing is wheel bearing or abs sensor ring. I may get a second hand entire hub and try it out.
  3. ok did some logging for wheel speed sensor and here are some results. Looks like my Left-front wheel sensor may be a bit off? Can somebody guide me please? LOG-03-IDE04425IDE04439_&3.CSV
  4. So I checked on VW Australia for a service call for my Polo and guess what there is a recall Service recall - 35E5 Commencement Data - 23/04/2020 Service Campaign/Recall Description - A-Mechatronic unit upper box Status (Complete or Outstanding) - Outstanding I am going to chase the recall with my local dealership and see if they will entertain me.
  5. Car is a 2014 model that was imported into the UK last year (not by me). I have just bought it with no service history etc. Just been building the service history since owning it. Do you reckon VW UK would entertain 34H5 software update? Perhaps I can call them and find out 🤔 I owned the Leon for 8 months and under my ownership there was no recall work carried out.
  6. Ok reading on forums it looks like it may be a good idea to do some logging on ABS speed sensor to rule out a faulty one. Apparently it can throw the readings out and confuse the dsg gearbox.
  7. I had a DQ200 box in my 2013 1.6TDI Mk2 Leon and it too was faultless. DQ200 is a dry clutch right? So doesn't require a service?
  8. Hi All, How many here drive the 1.2 TSI (90) DSG Fabia's? Do they all have the DQ200 box fitted to them? I recently bought a JAP 6C Polo that comes with the DQ200 DSG box and currently struggling to adjust to the erratic gear changes. Basically from 1-4 the gear changes are fine, but from 5-7th Is what makes the drive annoying 😞 So the gearbox will hold gears for longer after 4th and you can see the high rev's just waiting for the gear changes. I have gone through VCDS and done a reset of all adaptions and basic setting of transmission but I can still feel the gears are held longer. I would be doing 70 mph and the gear box would be sitting between 5th and 6th gear. It would barely change to 7th. Is this normal? How do you all find the DSG in your 1.2 TSi's?

  10. View Advert 2015 Skoda Fabia SE - FSH - 27000 miles Selling our beloved Skoda Fabia which is in excellent condition. Comes with Full Skoda Service History and 2 keys It has only done 27,000 miles since we both it in 2018. 2 owners from new and we are the second owners. Last serviced in December 2020 at Skoda Dealership where it had a Oil service and Brake Fluid change. I also replaced the o2 lamba sensor last year. Since owning it I retrofitted the following using pre-made car harnesses / loom Multifunction steering wheel - (early 2015 models didn't come with them) Front parking sensor with optical display Auto-lights The car has given us trouble free motoring and never missed a beat since owning it. It is the 1.2 TSI engine with 110 Bhp and 6 speed gear box, which makes it more economical over the 90Bhp variant. It is a great car for urban driving and drives effortless on motorway. Overtaking is no issue for the 'wee' Fabia Unmarked wheels and has had 2 new tyres (Khumo) last years. The rears may need replacing as they have cracks in them, however past MOT and Skoda inspection with no issues (happy to negotiate or replace if a deal was made). The body work is in good condition with all panels being the same colour. No pinks or fading on any panels. However, the driver side wing has a 'ding' (as shown in picture) from previous owner. Also the driver side door has supermarket car park ding / mark from an unsuspected shopper again no loss of paint or anything. Hardly noticeable from distance. Interior is unmarked, pet and smoke free All in all it is a genuine car and drives well. Only reason we are selling it is that it sits on the driveway due to us working from home. The car doesn't get used as often so rather let it go and somebody else enjoy the car. Happy to answer any questions. Advertiser singh946 Date 05/07/21 Price £6,495 Category Cars for Sale
  11. It was done by Skoda in Bolton. Will fire them an email to confirm what was done. I am sure there is a work around it
  12. Oh gosh :( Definitely making sure my Tiguan doesn't get this update :O Is there a way to confirm the details of this software update?
  13. Honestly speaking I was bit a surprised when the person in service told me 'Oh there is a recall for software update on your car'. Only when I asked him about the recall he mentioned what it was for?
  14. The website shows no recall for my car? strange!!! The service desk did advice it was a software update for the PSU.
  15. Hi Guys, My Mrs. car was in for a service last week and the dealership carried out a recall for software update to PSU. The update reset the adaptations I did with VCDS couple of years ago in '19 Central Electronics'. Was able to retain all the setting back apart from Unlock / Lock Horn confirmation has stopped working :( I only had the Lock confirmation enabled which we found very useful to confirm everything is locked. I followed the same instruction as follows which I found on Mk7 Golf forums but to no avail no sound. Something tells me the Alarm is not working? Alarm beep on lock / unlock Go into [09] Central Electronics Go into Secuity Access and enter 31347 Adaptation channels, and you are looking for: (1)-Acknowledgement Signals -Akustische Rueckmeldung entriegen (un-lock acoustic feedback) (2)-Acknowledgement Signals -Akustische Rueckmeldung verriegeln (lock acoustic feedback) Set one or both to on if you wish. Then set the following to "on" (7)-Acknowledgement Signals -Menuesteuerung akustische Rueckmeldung (Acoustic lock menu) This enables a menu setting in the "car" settings, "Locking" menu of the infotainment screen to set alarm chirp on or off when locking /unlocking the car and have the option to switch it on or off from the head unit. Touch the off button for 10 secs to reboot MMI.
