  1. I too have had this problem with the passenger door although i think this is due to the car being parked on a slight slope. If i parked the other way around i'm sure the drivers would leak aswell. When parked on level ground it does not leak:confused: It's been to the stealers and they supposedly sealed the foam like material to the door but it's still leaking:mad: so i think i'm going to have to do it myself:( as i do not have any faith in my stealer:thumbdwn:
  2. Anybody know the right part no for the front wishbone bush?is it pff85-201 or pff3-501(powerflex website does not list vrs as it has 19mm anti rollbar as tt/s3 etc not 21/23mm bar) so i'm thinking maybe same setup as 2wd tt?which lists 2 bushes for early/late models, the latter being pff3-501 for wishbone part no 8no 407 161/162.Can somebody help me please had a look at wishbone to see if i could find a part no but couldn't:confused: cheers
  3. Hi,can anyone recommend a good place to go in the south/south west region for arch rolling?Want both front arch lips rolled but dont want a bodyshop to do it, as i know there is a special tool which gently rolls the lip back without damaging the paint! Cheers peeps
  4. I have v1 on my vrs rally with a 55mm drop running on 19s with a 235 section tyre and have no rubbing problems:thumbup:.The ride height will be 10mm lower than standard at it's highest setting and 40mm on lowest setting. The ride quality is superb ok a little bouncy over undulating roads but the road holding far outways that:D.No you won't need spacers as long as you stick to the recommended offset and don't go wider than an 8J wheel.Yes a 4 wheel alignment check is always necessary after any changes to suspension, otherwise you will wear out your tyres in no time:thumbdwn:Another cheap worthwile mod is to fit audi s3 lower and upper braces, these made a huge improvement to my car,it's alot more stable at speed and fantastic steering response/feedback.Do a search on here as it's been covered a few times already. Hope this helps
  5. The flylead should be plugged into the blue wire on the pioneer harness, this is the system remote +12v feed.
  6. My pioneeer deh5600mp plugged straight into the skoda plugs as they are standard iso,the only thing i had to do was switch the +12v and ignition +12v round so the unit wouldn't lose it's memory.Yes you will need a antenna booster as aftermarket radios don't have them built in like the factory unit,if you don't reception will be very poor.
  7. Alot of it is to do with the camber of road surfaces, helps rain water drain away to the side of the road,in europe you would have the opposite as your driving on the right.
  8. my pcp plan finishes in october, don't know if octy vrs2 will be available by then?but if they don't get the price right which should be close to the outgoing model,i might be looking in vw's direction:(
  9. Sounds good,i have a mate with a mk1 golf 1100 which is undergoing a 1.8 turbo transplant(225bhp audi tt)when complete it should have 300bhp:eek:in a mk1 crazy! Im a fan of all vag stuff not just skoda,i've had a two audi a3's but for value for money it has to be skoda!!although looking at their latest pricing on mk2 octy it's touching on vw's pricing:thumbdwn:

  14. Quite true it's just hearsay, haven't tried it myself as with the mc2 so can't comment. It's just i've heard them rave about it on uk-mkivs,as with everything something might work for one person but not someone else! Because the lighter fluid option is cheapest:) i will give that a go first,if i don't get on with it i will probably invest in some mc2 or try the margarine,i can hear the neighbours now"what the hell is he doing cleaning his car with marge:rofl:" Thanks for the advice tho
