  1. My Facebook and texts are going mad with my mates asking me about my yeti now. One proud owner here. Mind you, I was before Clarkson hailed it too.
  2. I've got a migraine coming now, quick dim the lights!!
  3. As I'm comparing it to the maxi dot display on my golf, I'm happy with what it's telling me. I average 600 miles on a full tank of fuel which I'm pleased as punch with :-)
  4. My 2wd 110se has 225/50 tyres on 17 inch wheels. The handbook says do not use snow chains on the front drive wheels for technical reasons. Their no bloody use on the rear! Any ideas why this is so? I have park assist fitted, this comes with TCS.
  5. I've done 17000 miles in 6 months in my 2wd 110 and averaged 51.5mpg. On a motorway run cruising at 75 ish I get 54mpg. I can get up to 68mpg on a decent A road run if I'm trying but I just drive it fairly normally day to day. Economy is excellent I think for a car this size. It's better than my old golf tdi.
  6. Ive done 17000 miles in 6 months in my yeti and I go thru about 5 litres of screenwash a month, there's some mucky lanes in the midlands! I use halfords ready mixed which is £4.99 for 5 litres and up until recently was on a Bogof deal. Never had an issue with it at all.
  7. My 2wd yeti got stuck last night in snow and I had to walk 6 miles home. TCS was the culprit, it reduced my revs so that I lost momentum on a hill. I couldn't get enough traction to get up even with it switched off. To make it worse I had to witness two wheel drive fiestas and a transit van getting up the hill. Thanks to recommendations on here Im ordering snow socks for it. Very disappointed in yeti's snow ability!! I'm in a bad mood today!

I couldn't get enough traction to get up even with it switched off. I'll be off to Halfords for snow chains I think, or are winter tyres better? To make it worse I had to witness two wheel drive fiestas and a transit van getting up the hill. Very disappointed in yeti's snow ability!!
  9. Great accolade! Well deserved. I just love telling people who ask that I drive a Brown Skoda! It's also great to see peoples reactions when they see it. I've had everything from a car full of young lads overtaking to give me a thumbs up to people stopping me in the car park to take a look.
  10. My 110tdi has now done 6000 miles in 2 months. Average mpg over the whole period is 49.7mpg. That's a mixture of motorway, A and B roads and includes several long hikes including a 600 mile camping trip to Cornwall. Best ever mpg journey was 60.3mpg through the Cotswolds on a 100 mile trip. I don't drive economically, I enjoy the car, between 70 and 80mph on motorways, a 26 mile B road commute each day and I've also been known to race the odd Chav in a trevved up Corsa/Focus/Saxo away from the lights. The look on their faces when they see the arse end of a skoda - priceless!
  11. Thanks john, I've tried aftermarket lumbar support but they are all too thick. I need about 1cm thick support behind my back, I'm even considering selling the yeti now, it's only 2 weeks old but I do a lot of mileage and need to be ache free!
  12. I'm still finding it impossible to avoid backache in my yeti even after 2000 miles. Anyone know if I could order a new drivers seat with lumbar support from Skoda?
  13. It's caught me out too in my 110tdi, I've been driving since 1983 too! I'm having to het used to changing down more on hills and corners at lower speeds.
  14. I won't guess but I'll set u a challenge. My average over 1800 miles in my 110 tdi is 49.1mpg, my best is 60mpg over about 53 miles. Get as close as you can to my 49.1mpg!
