  1. Very nice car Amanda, if I see you coming the other way i'll make sure to pull right over due to your extra few inches My 3 series doesn't rattle but it did squeak! BMW fixed it during it's first service and the lady on the service desk remarked they all do that after a while! Adjusted the doors and added some sort of tape to the door rubbers, all done with no complaining.
  2. Looks awesome, the new 5 series interior is a couple of classes above the current 3 series in my opinion! Mine lights up blue inside as well, think that's an 'e' thing?
  3. I'm still loving my 330e! Any pics of your 530e planehazza?
  4. In Sport+ the stability is still on but it allows quite a large angle of drift, my old 120d would be a laugh on wet roundabouts. It would snap back if you over correct the drift which makes you crap yourself the first time it happens!
  5. Mines a Company Car, just waiting for my Tax Code to catch up and then get my pay rise
  6. Excellent, I would have been happier with the 2 year lease as I would change cars every 6 months if I could! You have definitely made the right choice going for the 5 over the 3, a much nicer, bigger more well equipped car. Now just the horrible waiting part
  7. Plus if you have any equity in your Octavia that will go straight in the bank Will you be charging it every night? If not they are fairly heavy on fuel mind, maybe should have mentioned that before Do you have the option of having it debadged? I hate the amount of badges on mine, model on the back M badges on the font wings and E Drive badges on the C post.
  8. That colour is Bluestone, the Sophisto is a darker shade but is still the best colour out of your limited choice. If I couldn't get Bluestone I think Sophisto would be my second choice.
  9. 5 vs 3, no contest. Plus when you have a 3 series you really notice how many of them there are on the road! That's my old 120d in the pics as well, a colleague is driving it until it goes back in January.
  10. I've just taken a few pics of my bosses 530e, i'll post them when I get home.
  11. Just been to Greggs in my bosses new 530e, it's awesome, miles better than the 3 series. If I had the choice it would be 5 series, without a doubt, in Bluestone, on 20s
  12. Unfortunately most stuff is an option on the 3 series! I have a voice control button on the steering wheel but it doesn't do anything. Drop me a PM and we'll get something arranged.
  13. Mine was built end of 2016 so a MY17 model?? Definitely doesn't have split rear seats. Pre-conditioning is available on all BMWs but only the hybrid models have heating as it uses the larger battery to power an auxiliary heater, you can set two times a day when the pre-conditioning will kick in, so 8am and 5pm when I get in the car it's a nice 22 degrees. My old 1 series you could pre-condition but all it would do is run the fans and draw external air into the cabin. The large screen is Pro Nav, the standard screen is business Nav. I've gone from Pro Nav to Business Nav and the screen makes no difference, I miss voice control though. I think Apple Car Play can only be configured with Pro Nav. You can pop over no problem, if you are available lunch times I'm in Sunderland, weekends it's Peterlee.
  14. I've never seen GPS Gearbox as an option unless it's part of the Sport Gearbox option. It's very easy to unstick the rear wheels in the colder wetter weather we've had recently, I've seen the yellow traction light quite a bit recently!
  15. Nope, massive lead times if you want one generally, those NHS prices are very very cheap. If I wanted to lease mine now it would be £576.00 + VAT a month! according to nationwide vehicle contracts.
  16. A colleagues wife Clio has just gone back from an NHS lease, she had badly curbed diamond cut alloys. These costs are from memory so not gospel but he had them fixed for about £70 each and the guy who picked the car up commented that it would have only been £40 per wheel charge from the leasing company. The Auto Boxes on these are brilliant, I had an auto in my 1 series which admittedly you could catch out if you had it in comfort and asked a bit much of it, left in sport it was brilliant. These have GPS enabled boxes apparently which scour the road ahead and will prime itself to change up or down dependant on whats coming up. It's very easy in the 330e to catch it out if you are running in electric and then floor it, there's quite a lag from the changing down and the engine starting, general sensible driving it's spooky how un-noticible the engine starting and stopping and the gearbox changes are.
  17. Not sure of the boot depth, i'd have to google it! You do lose about 100 litres I believe due to the batteries taking up space. Checked mine on the way home and there's no access at all with the fixed rear seats, no ski hatch. It's a company car with a company plate
  18. I've had the 330e M Sport for a week, my boss has just taken delivery of a 530e M Sport. The 330e is a very very nice car, swapped from a 120d M Sport and it handles a lot better but you can feel the weight in it, only manages about 250 miles to a tank so if you do loads of miles you are going to see a lot of petrol stations! Currently my favourite feature is the pre warming, tell it you are setting off at 8am and it warms and defrosts the car for you ready to set off Not sure you can get a full size digital dash on the 3 series. Depends what you are after, the 3 is going to be a bit more sporty but the 5 is the bigger better car in my opinion.
  19. Well timed bump, I was quite surprised to see this on the front page again. I was one of the posters originally who had the GTE ordered, Arnold Clark ****ed me off so much I cancelled the order and ended up with a specced up BMW 120d. I've had that nearly two years now and on Monday I swap it for a BMW 330e, finally get a hybrid! It's actually a year old, my boss is getting the 530e and handing the 330e down to me
  20. I use BabyBMW as well, well, I read it, don't think i've ever posted on it. I'm still here, even though my skoda was 4 cars ago!
  21. We are planning on doing it in three days, a couple of police officers from the Durham force (I think) did it there and back in a day recently! :peek:
  22. There's four of us going to do the Coast to Coast next year, just trying to up the miles at the minute to get used to being in the saddle for so long. A fella from work attempted it this year, had an incident with a dry stone wall and ended up smashing his arm in three or four places :peek:
  23. There isn't one, I stayed here when I got my Passat. Then again i've stayed here whilst i've had my Leon, Mazda and BMW as well.
  24. Another Strava user here, has worked flawlessly for the last 350 miles I use it on an iPhone 6 on a handlebar mount so good clear GPS throughout the journey. 18.5 miles yesterday, my longest ride so far!
