  1. Exactly! I simply don't have the time to do it! On the other hand I would be happy to provide you with the information on how many LEDs are there and their type, but nothing more. WHAT?!?!?!?! I don't believe what I'm seeing and reading! If YOU want to do it, be my guest but don't involve me without my knowledge!!! Dakle, Davore, ako sam ti lijepo vec prije rekao da se NE ZELIM bavit time cemu onda sve ovo? I komentar "samo trebate bit uporni...". Mislim stvarno... EOD Sorry for comments in croatian, but it seems like Davor doesn't understand my english...
  2. Actually...no, you cannot send him your dashboards, switches, etc. I'm the "dude" who changed the illumination on many Octavias and Fabias (and other VAG cars) in the past couple of years (including Davor's vRS). My free time is rather limited because of my work and my company often sends me on sites across the world when needed - in other words, I don't know how long I'm staying at home. This is something that can change at any time and I'm not comfortable accepting anything if I'm not 100% sure that I will be home to receive it. Changing car's interior illumination is something I do for my friends, mostly as a hobby. I don't have a stock of LEDs nor do I plan to make one. Therefore, I cannot and will not accept your dashboards (and/or other parts). Sorry. I already told that to Davor... I would also like to ask the administrator/moderator or Davor to remove my e-mail from his post (above).\ Thanks in advance.
  3. john-w> like ChrisRs said, it's an RS bumper. Fog lights (aftermarket ones) are hidden behind the grilles. Dmac1969 & Blade404> Thnx!
  4. Skoda made new badges for the face-lifted models, i.e. instead of "1.2 HTP" it's only "HTP", "1.9 SDI" is replaced by "SDI" only, etc.
  5. As far as I know only the vRS has red needles. You can disassemble the instrument cluster and replace the LEDs that illuminate the needles (there are only four of them) I don't see a point of buying an entire instrument cluster just because of a different needle illumination.
  6. Merry Christmas everyone!
  7. It was a nice sunny day today and I was bored...guess what followed 1. This is how all began... I've put 2x 3LEDs on each plastic bit (don't know exact name). I don't have any photos of production stage because I was obviously too occupied and forgot to take a few shots 2. You gotta do what you gotta do! I thought that the wiring would already be in place since there is a space for fuse, but it's not. Oh well, few feets of wires won't kill me... 3. Font side + connector I've put a connector in place for easier removal of both the door trim and the indicator light because I'll probably remove the door trim at least 20 times more...yeah, it's nice to know every square inch of your car... 4. Testing, testing... 5. And the final result! Me likes it! I just remembered that I had to take one more photo when both doors are open, but...it was freezing outside and I was hungry! I've connected these lights on the same wire that goes to the inner light so now I have a cool fade-out effect when I close the doors (and a fade-in effect when I unlock the car) In the end, it all comes down to this: 12 LEDs, 6 resistors (470ohm), 4m 2x0,75mm^2 cable, 5A fuse and a FIRST AID KIT! I've managed to leave a little bit of blood on some piece of metal...
  8. Nice rims, Mil! Is your car lowered? Anyway, looks great! Funny thing about those black bevels: I've got them but a friend of mine doesn't (mine is silver '04 model, his is black '05 model). Also, his previous black Furby, '03 model, had black bevels  When I bought my car I saw that only models with light colours had black bevels whereas dark-coloured models didn't. IMHO, it looks better with them - makes the headlights a bit smaller and nicer
  9. Place: Somewhere in Croatia, top secret location Time: 16:00h - 21:30h So...I've decided to darken the windows a little bit and since I got a great deal on the job I said "what the heck, let's DO IT!" And the rest is history... A friend was working so fast that even the camera couldn't take a decent shot of him Rear doors on a diet Maybe it's too bright, what do you think? Just for comparison: tinted vs. original And that was it for the day... ...but then came the next day and more work to be done! I bought those nice little B-pillar decorating set Beginning... ...and the end After that came the front windows: Finally...ta-daaaaa: Here's how it looks in daylight: Alothough it seems that you don't see anything through those windows...you do! (front windows are down, of course). Front windows are 20% tint while rear are 50% tint. All in all, I'm very pleased with the final result! The car now looks much better now and all I have to do is steal some money from the bank to buy new alloy wheels Just kidding... And just to make things a little more exciting, cops stopped me that night but they didn't notice the front windows were darkened (as it is illegal!). Lucky me
  10. Ucinilo mi se da sam vidio poznati nick, kad ono... Pozdrav i dobrodosao English translation (for all you lazy people ): I thought I saw a familiar nickname, when... Welcome!
  11. Mine ('04 Fab) leaks only when the left side is higher than the right side I tend to park it on a flat surface (since my "discovery") whenever I can - problem fixed
  12. Did you try a gentle hammering on the top of the dashboard? I find it helpful with almost all electronic devices Perhaps is just a loose wire/bad contact. You also have a few fuses in the engine bay (above the battery) - check them. I suppose everything else is working fine?
  13. I'm glad that everything works now! Waiting for pics...
  14. You didn't insult me by any means so there is no need to apologize, really 3rd order crossover is usually more than enough. Try listening with your new sub, maybe it will fix those bleeding problems. Also, if you are not aiming for SQ competition, buy a new HU instead of an external crossover.
  15. I know what a crossover is since I've built a bunch of them and this is what I am studying. I didn't say you need to match the crossovers with AMPLIFIER but with SPEAKER. Every speaker has its resistance and inductivity. If CAN happen that a passive crossover connected to a speaker will behave as short-circuit at one frequency which can destroy an amplifier's outputs. Your amp has a 3rd order crossover which is 18dB/octave (unless the specifications are wrong, which I doubt they are). Crossover are not necessarly 2nd or 3rd order. They can be 1st order as well (6dB/oct.) If you have mids bleeding in, then just lower the crossover frequency a little bit and problem solved. You can't expect a crossover to eliminate all frequencies above a set point. You'll always have a little bit "bleeding" from mid-range depending on the slope.
  16. Just to see if it has low-pass filter built in...and it does (in fact it has LP, BP and HP), so I don't see why would you need an active (or passive) crossover for the sub when you can use the one inside the amp. Passive crossovers are a pain in the neck because you need to buy/build one that matches your subwoofer and its parameters.
  17. I managed to put 68mm deep speakers in front doors, so 69,5 should be possible. You just have to put a ring-shaped spacer in the FRONT so that the cone doesn't hit the door trim And the trim will be poped out a bit. In fact, a friend of mine and I managed to put an 80mm depth speakers in his Furby Don't ask how...I still have marks on my hands
  18. Yes, but...your amp (in fact, any other amp) doesn't draw full power when switched on. Also, your fuse has a large current capacity so it's not likely that it will blow up due to frequent on/off transients.
  19. What about a Fabia GT bumper? Looks more sporty than the facelifted one and I guess it costs the same and it has old-style fog lamps so you don't have to buy new ones.
  20. T = Turbo D = Diesel I = Intercooler? PD = Pumpe Duse - injection system if I'm right. There is also a 150HP version of this engine (maybe even a 100HP, but I'm not sure). They are used in entire VAG group: Golf, Polo, Passat, A3, A4, Ibiza, Leon, Fabia, Octavia...
  21. The trim comes back on properly - at least by me, and I've taken it off more than 6 times so far...
