What really bugs me is the built in satnav telling me to 'keep on this road for a long time'. Surely the time is relative to my speed, I would much prefer it if it told me for how many miles.

I found that most of the non franchised garages (not sure about the franchised ones) round here do not remove the drain plug when changing the engine oil but insert a thin tube through the dipstick opening and pump the old oil out using a vacuum extractor such as http://www.seamarknunn.com/acatalog/Pela-400-Vacuum-Oil-Extractor-Pump-4-Litre-MTPELA4.html?gclid=CK-BsuitmMwCFRBmGwodVkIJ4A. They say it saves them having to put the car onto a lift and remove the undertray etc and saves them a lot of time as well as freeing the lift for other work.

I will also be away for the next couple of weekends , could mine go in the post as well please? Will be happy to pay any extra required for the packaging.

You only get the rears if that is what you order but the fronts are the same on the FL as they are on the pre-FL so iether ask your dealer to supply and fit the fronts as well, or you could fit them yourself in about ten minutes as I did.

My FL has MDI but did not come with any cables. I found both the Ipod and USB, genuine VW/Skoda, cables on e-bay for under a fiver each including postage, and they work a treat.

Noticed them on my three week old shark blue Yeti when I washed it this morning.

When I ordered my FL L&K in October I was told at that time that I could only have the 170 with DSG in the Elegance trim, hence me having to order the L&K 140 DSG.

Don't know how acurate these updates are but mine has been showing this status since 23rd December with the build week still showing as week 2.

My MkII Fabia 3 1.9PD TDI estate is 6 years old in March, done 130000 miles still drives like new and does not use any oil between changes. Never needed any warrranty work and only usual things like tyres, brake pads and discs, and light bubs have needed replacing. Sales through the MOT every year with no advisories.

The dealer confirmed my build week as 201402 about a fortnight ago and their tracker site confirmed this up till today when it now shows- Status: In Transit from factory to Germany Port Build Week: 201402 Has someone screwed up with updating the details or has the factory put a spurt on to get as many done before their two week Christmas break as possible?

I also ordered on the 20th October and have had my build week confirmed as week 2.

Just goes to show you should not believe everything you are told until you check it out for yourself.

I also downloaded the FL brochure from the SUK website on 19 November and have it saved as a PDF version. If it should not be aired in public, why was it put in the public domain? Do I hear an appology from a certain member?

Outdoor L&K 140 4x4 DSG in shark blue ordered 18-October, unconfirmed build date of week 3 2014.

No one has yet confirmed that it is anything other than orders for the 1.2TSI Outdoor that have had the build date put back and do we know how many people on this forum have definately had there build date put back? At the moment it all appears to be suppositions based on maybe a couple of people's orders. Can we gather some facts before we all go off the deep end please.

Is it just people who have ordered the 1.2TSI Outdoor that have found that their build date has slipped or have others?

Could it be that it is only the 1.2 TSI Outdoors that are having their build weeks put back because of this anomaly?

Well Skoda asked for the registration number and the VIN number before they came back with their words of wisdom. I have filed copies of their e-mail safely away so that if I do have problems they cannot say I did not tell them I suspected a dealer had put the wrong oil in it.

You may be interested in the reply that I got from Skoda UK Customer Service dept - 'I have verified your details with our Technical Support Team and I can confirm that xxxxxxx have used the correct oil throughout. There are three standards of oil which are suitable for your Fabia 3: 507 00, which is a premium oil, or 505 00 and 505 01, both of which are suitable.' That's not what it says in my handbook!!!!!

Neither have I. Dealer said 9 out of 10 recalls they have, the customers say they have not experienced the problem that the recall was for.
