  1. Even if it has broken, would it cause such an issue once the car is running? I get the light for the wire flash up on the dash eveytime too.
  2. The latest, Car been fine since the last fault, running all day yesterday. Colder morning this morning, go out and doesn't start. Managed to jump start it. Turned in the lights to set off to work and alot of the dash lit up (pas, handbrake flashig, abs, and a couple of others!) and then died. Jumped started again straight away and the same again. Took out battery and the load wire seems in good condition. Not checked battery voltage as cannot find my multimeter. Checking it later once I get hold of one. Does anyone have any ideas?
  3. Thanks for the advice will test the voltage when I get chance. It's really strange fault. Just out the jump leads on and it started within seconds. So the battery didn't need much charge. But then the radio lost all its settings bizarrely. Will check the load sensor too.
  4. Hello all, hopefully someone can help with the issue I am having, I've looked through the forum but cannot see to find anything. Last February went out on a cold morning and the car started fine. I left it running for about 10 minutes. When I went out the pas light was on and steering was heavy (I have had this before and would rectify when the engine was turned off and back on) his time though I turned it off and the car wouldn't start again, like the battery was flat. Once jump started it was fine and has been up until this week. A few days ago I stopped at a service station after driving for around 40 miles. When I came back out I had the same issue without the pas light though. And bump started fine. Now today I started the engine, the pas light came on and the heavy steering was back. Turned the engine off and then attempted to switch it in again but to no avail? Any ideas what this could be? Sorry for the long story! Cheers
  5. Sorry to bring up a question in this thread again, but is there enough room and would it be possible to push the console bush in with a vice in situ? Cheers
  6. Looking to buy some powerflex console bushes, don't really have time to mess around with cupra, oem etc. Looked around for the powerflex console bushes (PFF85-602) andd the cheapest I can seem to find a set is £47. Can anyone recommend anywhere cheaper? Cheers
  7. Yea I know the console bush is there, I'm not interested in changing that, all the guides show changing the bushed with the wishbone still fitted and I dont have the time to push bearings out hence why I'm looking to change the whole wishbone and do the the others while the wishbone is off.
  8. The bushes sit in the wishbone... the new wishbone has the bushes Cheers
  9. Hi, I have just had an MOT on my Fabia and it has failed on the front wishbone bushes! I have some poly bushes coming, but I am pushed for time and I am looking at replacing the whole wishbone and then keeping the old one and replacing the bushed on that for the new ones for future use. I have searched the forum and cannot find any info on replacing the whole wishbone as opposed to just the bushes (quite alot on that). I am basically trying to find out hints and tips from people that have done it before so I dont come up against something I'm not prepared for... What tools are needed? 18mm, 19mm and 13mm? Do I need to replace all the bolts and nuts? If so does anyone know the Part Numbers? Anything to note before taking the wishbone completely off? Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
  10. ACSC that's because you are sat opposite me!
