  1. I was considering it yes Chris, what do you do? Car hasn't really had any protection really, as I told them to leave it but money also tight at the moment as in between jobs! I must state it's not the hardcore petrol ST, it's a 2.0 TDCi model!
  2. I was hoping to make this, but won't happen this meet - I will do next time though! Just collected this on Wednesday, so I will fetch it along
  3. Afraid won't be able to make tomorrow now, Mrs got a day of shopping planned for us!
  4. Can I ask why you are selling it? Oh free delivery, I have also moved house now.... Thanks Simbo, I don't think the car will be here by the end of May as it was only built yesterday - but I shall have a look at the thread in a sec. I have gone for Deep Impact Blue, very nice colour! How come you don't travel anymore? I am really looking forward to the 25 - 30,000 a year I'll be doing...
  5. Just been looking at your dash cam Simbo, interested....had 2 rubbish ones from china lol! New car is...........Ford Focus ST-2, however the diesel variety - 2.0 TDCI 185bhp! Got a new job I start in July as a Software Consultant so I'll be travelling the UK on a weekly basis - could be in Aberdeen Monday, Brighton on Wednesday etc. Decided I wanted something new, that was within my car allowance range and something sporty! Always loved the Focus ST but never did a Diesel version until now...
  6. Hi All, Some of you may remember me, some may not! I remember the likes of Ste, Alan, Chris, Auric, Simbo etc - not sure if many of you are about? Just sold the Seat Leon 2 weeks ago, awaiting on my new car being delivered - was built yesterday, due for delivery in June. How we all doing? Going to try and visit a meet soon. Luke
  7. Hi All, OK MAJOR engine trouble tonight it seems. I was driving home from work on my 15 mile commute when I approached roundabout and heard a loud tickover, thought oh it's the lorry next to me but it appeared to be coming from my car. It drove fine, just a bit hesitation between tickover and 1,500rpm! Got nearer home, went round the bend and approached the hill when the car cut out, leaving my back end on the road (Again, this happened when Injectors went FFS). Anyways I was 100yards away from home but facing up hill in wrong direction. Dad comes down, holds traffic up on bend so I can roll it back and then we push it home! Got it on VagCom tonight and comes back with 2 Faults Found: 012296 - Camshaft Position Sensor (G40) P3008 - 006 - Signal Out of Range - Intermittent Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00100001 Fault Priority: 0 Fault Frequency: 1 Reset counter: 40 Mileage: 109829 km Time Indication: 0 Date: 2000.00.00 Time: 17:51:11 Freeze Frame: RPM: 1120 /min Torque: 88.0 Nm Speed: 32.0 km/h Steering Angle: 30.36° Angle: 0.0 ° (no units): 1.0 Steering Angle: -1.84° 000833 - Camshaft Position Sensor (G40) P0341 - 006 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00000001 Fault Priority: 0 Fault Frequency: 6 Reset counter: 40 Mileage: 109829 km Time Indication: 0 Date: 2000.00.00 Time: 17:51:22 Freeze Frame: RPM: 288 /min Torque: 88.0 Nm Speed: 0.0 km/h (no units): 0.0 Steering Angle: 0.00° Angle: 0.0 ° (no units): 1.0 Now my question is - My cambelt/pulleys/alternator belt and water pump were all replaced on Monday, but driven 80 miles trouble free so I can't see timing being out would it? Am I literally just unlucky that the sensor has gone tonight? Does it cause any further problems and is it an easy/cheap fix? Any help appreciated. Thanks
  8. Hi All, I have a Seat Leon 2.0 TDI FR 170 PD and I am having underboosting issues. The car has just had it's a Manifold Vacuum Actuator replaced, but the problems still persist. Basically when driving the car, especially when in 5th at 2,000rpm I have no power and it then chucks up the glowplug light and goes into limp mode. The car has the following fault 000665 - Boost Pressure Regulation P0299 - 006 - Control Range Not Reached - Intermittent Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00000001 Fault Priority: 5 Fault Frequency: 1 Reset counter: 37 Mileage: 100460 km Time Indication: 0 Date: 2000.00.00 Time: 17:58:14 Anyone shed any light on what else it could be? Thanks
  9. Hi All, Some of you may remember me, but I used to have an Octavia vRS but now have a Seat Leon 2.0 TDI FR PD 170. I have the following faults, but as you guys are so knowledgeable - can you please point me in right direction of presumably what sensors I need? 2 Faults Found: 005214 - Mass Air Flow during Regeneration too Low P145E - 006 - - Intermittent Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00000001 Fault Priority: 5 Fault Frequency: 1 Reset counter: 7 Mileage: 99150 km Time Indication: 0 Date: 2000.00.00 Time: 20:04:26 Freeze Frame: RPM: 1952 /min Torque: 32.0 Nm Speed: 102.0 km/h 0.00 % 27.69 % Mass Air / Rev.: 321.6 mg/str Mass Air / Rev.: 572.3 mg/str 000665 - Boost Pressure Regulation P0299 - 006 - Control Range Not Reached - Intermittent Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00000001 Fault Priority: 5 Fault Frequency: 1 Reset counter: 37 Mileage: 100460 km Time Indication: 0 Date: 2000.00.00 Time: 17:58:14 Freeze Frame: RPM: 2464 /min Torque: 248.0 Nm Speed: 58.0 km/h 78.39 % Voltage: 14.46 V Pressure: 2492.1 mbar Pressure: 1512.3 mbar
  10. I got two tickets today too! Don't know if I can make it.
  11. Chris, This is something I might be interested in, just depends what state my paintwork is in.
  12. Amount of folk with snow on their cars this week has annoyed me. Clear it off or police give them fines and points. It's a danger to them and other road users n Instructor should know better.
  13. Me and the Mrs do whatever we want together or alone. We are both ok with that too. That's how it should be.
  14. The car has been found. I wasn't aware but all the cars have a tracker fitted at the company but it wasn't activated on this car. However they switched it on and found it parked up, all laptops and keys still inside.
  15. As much it's sad to se these going, like what has been said its our fault they gone as we buy stuff online and admit I do it myself but when these companies charge so much it's expected. I understand they have to cover overheads, wages and so on but I guess it's the way we are going.
  16. No isn't a company car, he is one of the partners of the business. Both partners own there own cars. I suspect the dealer is going to have a big bill.
  17. Also agree with sat nav, mine is set down the road.
  18. Well the locks have been changed today, along with the works locks I believe as I suspect there are business cards in the car too.
  19. Ok someone who I know of has a BMW 3 Series estate (not sure of exact model) but he doesn't like using the garage the company uses for cars so he insists in using the normal BMW dealer. Yesterday it went in for an MOT and he waited whilst work was done. Work done, service guy comes out, says all done and completes the paperwork. In the meantime the car is left outside of the dealership. To the guys horror the car is stolen from outside the dealership with the following - house keys, 2x laptops, work keys and obviously a very well specced car all because the dealer in question left the KEYS IN THE IGNITION AND THE CAR UNATTENDED. Be warned people, you think car is in good care but maybe not. I suspect the guy at the dealer has probably lost his job and rightly so. It's not my place to name dealers or anything as obviously police and insurance are involved.
  20. So the odd cutting out when changing from down to 2nd for instance was all due to the injectors not sat properly? That could explain mine issue.
  21. Thanks all for your replies and thanks Silver for that information. I defo want it doing now, just so it just gets rid and doesn't cause issues in the future too.
  22. That does sound good, although I have got 620 miles on mine - similar journeys but I reckon the vRS is a bigger car over mine (Leon FR). I would like to see into 500s more round town.
  23. Cheers Nick - that's exactly the same one I want. What is the difference in MPG?
  24. Yeah I think it's going to Shark, just interested to see what the real world people who have these cars wonder what they are like.
